Visited the Icebar in Amsterdam with a few friends. Staff very friendly, helpful. Different experience but gloves provided were not warm enough. Drink options were limited, only 1 choice for non alcoholic drinks...orange juice. If I had to choose this excursion vs. one of the many other attractions in Amsterdam, I would recommend one of the other attractions. You're basically sitting in a cold bar.
We were expecting something a bit more like an ice palace and bar versus a room with blocks of ice and a maritime feel! 3 drinks included in the price made it value for money but you wouldn't want to stay for too long!
It is all a little kitschy and small but quite fun. Go in a half hour or so early and have a drink, then the place fills up and you go inside the actual ice bar with a group for a couple of vodka shots from glasses made of ice. Fun photos.
Me and my boyfriend found the icebar quite fun although it is a bit tiny in there but good for taking photos and be aware yes it is very cold so be warned if going in there with shorts! We had to use google maps to find the place too so just keep that in mind when trying to find it. All in all good value for money you get 3 free drinks included which is 1 drink at the main bar as you come in and wait to go in snd then 2 free drinks in the ice itself which are basically shots options of sambuca and 2 flavours of vodka shots a vanilla and a hazelnut flavour or you can have beer in there or orange juice. Worth going to if you havent been to an icebar
