Our driver Made Nova was great & it was a lovely day.
The only problem was when we went to see the view over the lake & volcano. So many people trying to get us to buy their goods. We understand that everyone has to make a living, but they just will not take no for an answer. We began by politely saying no, but when they follow you & keep nagging, we found ourselves getting really irritated & telling them to go away & leave us alone.
Another thing we didn't like is that there are batik, silver & art galleries added into the itinerary. It feels like everyone wants our money & we don't want to feel obligated to buy. So we missed those out.
Tourism brings a lot of income into Bali & it's a beautiful place. But we're not all rich tourists, we had saved hard for our holiday & don't have bottomless pockets.
The coffee plantation was very interesting but although the products taste beautiful, they are very expensive at around £18 for a pack of coffee.
The rice terraces are beautiful but you need stamina to walk up & down the steep slopes & steps.
All in all we enjoyed the day & felt it was good value. We can't comment on the buffet lunch, as having had 'Bali belly' for 3 days previously, I didn't want to risk it. Viator were brilliant though & allowed us to reschedule our trip twice, until I felt 100% again
