This tour was fantastic. It is appropriate for any age. Our guide, Sabrina, was knowledgable and thoughtful. The food was phenomenal and included a variety. In addition to the most well known Beijing site, this was a highlight of our trip to Beijing. We would recommend this to anyone and would also do this tour again. So terrific!

Isaac was the man. First thing he said after "Oh, hey" was, "Do you want a beer?" Two American couples and myself followed him through some interesting Hutongs, with a little culture and history thrown in courtesy of Isaac, but the food was the highlight. Hand pull noodles, Huan grilled eggplants and beef, some Muslim dishes, all of it was fantastic. Oh, and beer. He supplied beer along the way and took us to a fantastic brewery at the end. Damn good night, all up. Highly recommend if you're in Beijing for a night and just want some good food and company.

Our guide Raiya was wonderful. She provided us with lots of interesting facts about Beijing and was so knowledgeable about the food we were eating. We ended up being on a smaller tour with only 6 people total which was great as we were able to visit with everyone. Raiya made sure we always had a drink in hand! The food was excellent!! I almost wish it had been an all day tour so we could have eaten more. We took the subway to the meeting point and the directions were very simple. Raiya gave us good directions to get back to subway to get home from last brewery stop. Overall a great evening! I would definitely recommend to anyone - a really great way to start to get to know Beijing! Thanks again!

Our guide - Mu Rong, Gloria is very friendly and very knowledgeable. Provided us good info on the Beijing culture and cuisines. The food tour was excellent as get to taste authentic Beijing cuisine that we could not locate on our own. One point on the minced pork or beef noodles - zar jiang mian - the owner could have provided more minced meat than noodles.

So much fun!! HIGHLY recommend!

This was a very fun tour. The food stops were all delicious. I had no idea there was so much yummy stuff to be found in Beijing. All the dishes appealed to a Western palette and a few stops I wish I could have gone back to later. The tuk tuk ride was crazy, fun and I felt pretty safe. It was a bit crowded as we were a full tour that night. Our host was lovely and took very good care of us. Be sure you know where the meet up spot is as I had a bit of trouble navigating there and should have asked more questions before departing my hotel. All worked out and this was a very fun experience!

My wife and I recently visited Beijing and we were lucky enough to partake in this excellent tour of the best kept food secrets of the Hutong! We were collected at a subway station by our tour guide Amanda who quickly got us into our tuk tuks and onto our food journey. We first visited a small restaurant where we were given delicious Beijing noodles with special sauce. We then went on to a BBQ restaurant that offered delicious skewers with meat or veggies. Next we hit up a cool little shop for some delicious meat buns and potent local liquor. We then visited a lovely courtyard restaurant for a traditional family get together style meal before grabbing a delicious Beijing dessert. We finished the tour at a local brewery where we were each given a pint of their excellent craft beers. This tour was a lot of fun and a great way to experience the food, drinks and vibes of the hutongs. Amanda was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us great insights into the history and significance of the various cuisines we tried. Additonally, she made sure everyone was topped up with a local beer throughout the tour. Make sure to keep an empty stomach before you go however since there will be A LOT of food on offer! If you're a foodie this tour is for you and one of the best ways to sample some great local delicacies alongside a nice beer too!

Lots of hidden away food places that I'm not sure I'd ever find again, even with the notes we were left with. Some fantastic food on this trip, and some great company. But dress warm if you're doing this in winter - Beijing is cold when you're speeding along on a Tuk Tuk at night in December.

You must do this!! This tour was absolutely fantastic! I arrived a bit late to the meeting spot so they had already gone off. After calling the company they reached the guide and she came for me in one of the tuk tuks. As the others were already almost done eating I wouldn't get a chance to sit down in our first stop, however, I was able to get it to go! Our guide was incredibly helpful and wonderful at explaining the food and was very informative. All of the food was wonderful, and were definitely places you couldn't find on your own! Also, at the end, we were given a wonderful pouch with a few extras inside. This is a must do, even if you only have one night in Beijing!

Joy was a great host. She took us to some really good restaurants and was super attentive to the entire group and if we wanted to try more she'd get more or if we needed more beer or anything she'd arrange it. The tuk-tuks whisked us around effectively between places and we never felt rushed when eating. Joy also explained the dishes and where they were from. Good tour.

This trip is well worth it for the food. Very small, family owned restaurants in the neighborhood of Beijing serving mostly their local residences. The beer is the dessert when you visit the local brew pub on the final stop. During the night you get as much China canned beer as you want. It is best they reserve the brewery until the end because it would be hard to leave. I enjoyed this event and recommend it.
