Tour guide was very organized. When we arrived in Esztergom, she gave us 1 1/2 hours for lunch and proceeded to lead us to the only restaurant nearby. It was obvious that she was friends with the owners and received a free lunch for leading us there. As lunch wasn't included in the price of the trip, we found this very misleading.
It was not at all as described by Viator. We expected to visit three quaint villages on the Danube. At one, we only stopped the basilica and not at a quaint village. At the second, we stopped for lunch at a restaurant and not at a quaint village. The third was advertised as an artist's village but offered nothing more than tourist junk. But at least it had some character if one looked past the tourist junk. The tour was not at all what we expected and was disappointing.
Problem getting everyone to the starting point on time so tour started 30 minutes late. Tour guide Vera was nice, informative and helpful. She had to give her speech in both English and Spanish. Two people left tour and took cab back to hotel and didn't tell guide. We lost more time looking for them
The tour was too rigid. Once we were on the bus we were not given the chance to walk at leisure. The lunch spot was chosen for us and this was not mentioned in the brochure, it was stated that lunch was on our own. Some of the people left the restaurant before ordering because they did not want this. I would not recommend this if you enjoy some free time to see cities.
