We had an amazing day out with this group. The boat was a good size and all equipment was provided. Some of the highlights included lunch, two excellent reef spots and underwater photography. The staff were fantastic - kind, funny and they made the experience more enjoyable. The on board marine biologist talk was also a great way to wrap up the day. We did an introductory dive and the staff were very patient and understanding with nervous first time divers - ended up having a blast! Highly recommend as this is one of the last locally owned and operated boats in the area we were told.
An amazing experience! They accomidated to all ages, fitness levels and abilities! The only thing was it was quite choppy going to our first reef and a few people became ill but they all improved as the conditions did. Staff were very attentive.
This tour was absolutely awesome with a great crew looking after us. My partner and I opted to do the introductory scuba dive and it was such an amazing experience. Where better to try scuba diving than the Great Barrier Reef? Our instructor Jess was superb and we felt very safe under the water with her supervision. Thanks so much! The boat was very relaxing with plenty of places to sit and the lunch was very good. Highly recommend. Couldn't have wished for a better time spent at the reef 😊
The staff of the Passions of Paradise treated us with such good care. From the moment we sailed off, through the time in the water and the even the lunch was first class experience. We went with teens on our trip and these guys made everyone feel special. Great attention to service and safety in the water.
I booked this excursions over 2 months ago and when we boarded the catamaran to go out on for the day we had to fill out paperwork. My daughter takes Vyvanse and noted it on the paperwork and we were told that she would need a doctors release for her to do the introductory dive. I spoke to the man in charge and his comment, "This happens all the time - sorry but she can't do the dive". This was no excuse and made it very clear there is a disconnect between the Passions of Paradise, Viator anf it's clients. In the end it's all about selling the excursion and really don't care about the client. I paid extra for this and had we been told at any point before we left on our trip it would have been no problem to get the doctors release. But when you are in Australia and the doctor is in Texas and it is Sunday night in Texas so we couldn't even email and get a release. We couldn't do the dive and she had to sit there and watch all the other people get ready for their dive, then afterwards the dive masters made a big deal over presenting a certificate indicating they had "Dove the Great Barrier Reef". Very insensitive operation. And I might add that we sat at a table of 8 people and the dive master went over the paperwork in front of everyone and drilled my daughter what kind of medicine she took and why she had to taking it in front of everyone and then say oh sorry you can't dive. Very humiliating for my daugher. Wanting to get a refund from the company but have not heard anything yet. Again all about selling the excursions. Thy Passions of Paradise people said they would be reaching out to Viator immediately and get back to us. Again nothing from anyone!!!!!
So glad we booked with them. Check in was easy and quick, no long lines like some of the bargain tours. I would guess about 80+ passengers and plenty of space to move around and be comfortable. Equipment was good, food was delicious and the crew exceptional! We had really great weather and the snorkeling sites where wonderful. The crew really tried to give everyone a great experience. They are one of the last locally owned operations, buy local, book with passions of paradise!
Fantastic trip from booking in , coffee n muffins, friendly helpful staff, great tasty lunch with plenty of choice of salad and hot food and great snorkeling on barrier reef. A perfect day out cruising and snorkeling with friendly and helpful crew
