This is a must see tour while in Dublin or Belfast. Tour operators are top notch professionals with an incredible wealth of information about Irish history, geography, and game of thrones trivia. The spots they take you are breathtaking. Plenty of stops along the way for bathroom, drinks, and snacks. Lots of walking so bring comfortable hiking shoes. Sean the narrator is a top notch story teller. Don’t let this one get away. Must do!!!
Irial was our tour guide. He did a fantastic job with the running commentaries, history of Ireland, and funny anecdotes along the way. When it came to the Game of Thrones part of the tour, he showed us pictures of the actual scenes in the show and even played video clips of the show. Excellent tour! I would highly recommend it, especially if you're a Game of Thrones fan.
We loved the tour! Daniel was our guide and Yuri our driver and they both did an excellent job. We saw a lot and had a very pleasant drive - with awesome music and very interesting history information from Daniel. The tour was a great mixture of GoT, historic facts and Irish folk stories, which were all very interesting and fun to listen to.
However, as a small change I would recommend to maybe take Belfast from the tour and have a bit more time at the Giant's Causeway and just slow down the pacing of the tour.
Nonetheless, everything was well planned and it was definatly a highlight of our vacation and we would defiantly do it again! Thank you Daniel and Yuri for a lovely trip!
A very good tour. We had Derrick and John driver for this one. Its a pretty long day, you start at 6:45AM and dont get back till 8:30PM or so. But if you want to stay in Dublin and see a ton of Northern Ireland, which I recommend, this is a great tour for that. I recommend taking a cab to find this tour in Parnell Square North at 6:45AM. They know exactly where it is and the tour takes off on time so you dont have to worry about if your at the right place or not. The first stop is two hours away in Northern Ireland so get a coffee before you get there. No shops are open. You dont need passports as there is no border and checkpoint. They do take British sterling in Northern Ireland, so plan ahead or use credit cards which they take everywhere. Dark hedges is the first stop and well worth seeing. Trees are amazing and the view is great. The causeway is a must see. My advice is pay the 1.30 euro or 1 pound to take the tram up and down as the walk to the causeway is like 15 to 20 min. You have a lot more walking to do on the next stops so thats why I say pay the cheap taxi to the beach and back. Its a good walk but not worth the 2 pounds there and back. That way you can go to the Nook the bar there and get an Irish coffee to warm you up. Nice little bar and the Irish coffee is good and strong! Then you head to some GOT sites which are very cool. Derrick gives you all the details on this. He is a wealth of knowledge on Irish history and some great funny stories as well. They had some hiccups on the tour and they just rolled with it and really had great attitudes. Both the John and Derrick were great and we learned a ton on history and Northern Ireland. I would definitely recommend this tour and we had a blast in Northern Irland.
