This was one of my favorite excursions during my 17 trip in the UK. Derrick, was a phenomenal guide, you get a nice workout in if you choose to hike at both locations and the natural beauty that can be found at both Giant's Causeway and Carrick-A-Rede, not to mention the stops along the way, were some of the best I've seen. I would 100% recommend this trip through Finn McCools Tours, (Request Derrick as your guide, if you can).
We booked this tour and we are totally satisfied with it. Our guide Irial knows so many things and so much history about everything. Also the driver captain John is really good at what he is doing, funny and kind. We learned and see a lot of things and we visited another part of this beautiful country. Thank you Finn McCools it was an unforgettable experience!
Daniel, I believe that was his name, was a great guide and made it fun while burning time on eye ride and let us sleep when we needed to. The sights were great as expected but they made it enjoyable and kept us informed quite well along the way!
Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge have such beautiful views. Plan to wear good walking shoes and of course a good jacket for the weather. To reach the rope bridge was quite a walk from the drop off point but definitely worth it! The rope bridge is 100' above the sea and is safe. I'm so glad my friends and I booked this trip as I'll never forget how beautiful it was.
It was a lot of walking but a great experience. The tour guides were the best part about the trip. I was shaking after I crossed the bridge. It was beautiful. Ireland has a beautiful landscape yet simple.
We had a big group but everyone was back on the bus on time so the journey to Giant's Causeway and Carrick a Rede were great. The tour guide was great and very knowledgeable to the history of Ireland. Learnt a lot of fun facts throughout the ride.
We spent a fantastic day with Derek and Andre. Loved the great music and history provided. We think we had the two BEST tour guides. The weather was mint but the trip would have been amazing in jiffy weather too. Great value, well worth the trip.
Highly recommend this tour. The Rope Bridge took a lot of walking to get to but was well worth it. The day was very windy and the time spent at the Giant's Causeway was way too long. Once you see it and take pictures there is not much to do unless you want to spend extra money to be able to enter the visitors center, you can't even go to the gift shop. We were also told to either pack a lunch or buy a sandwich at the rest stop in the morning. Since there's so much time at this stop, I would recommend just using the extra time to buy lunch at the location there is a hotel and a pub instead of taking food with you.
