I had visited the l'Academia before, but it was my first time for the Uffizi. Our guide, Ricardo, couldn't have been better. He was easy to understand not always the case with tour guides, knowledgeable he had extensive studies in art history, and set the right pace for the tour. With so many things to see in the Uffizi, it is impossible to see everything in one short visit. He highlighted some of the best works, and supplied background history that helped tie everything together.
This was one of the best of many tours we booked while in Italy. Strongly recommend.
Having access without waiting in lines at the museums is definitely an advantage. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided a lot of interesting history of the art and artifacts we observed. Walking between the two museums provided an opportunity to see some of the other historical aspects of Florence and added significantly to the experience.
This was a first class tour of both of Florence's top museums!! Our guide was clearly an art expert, though she didn't get too far into artistic debate of fine details, but instead kept the tour fast paced but always intriguing. We got quickly into Uffizi and it's so large it's overwhelming. We kept to the most significant pieces and our guide used a radio with earpiece so the group could all equally hear and she didn't need to shout (another plus). She educated me more on how art styles changed over years, differences between artists, and other significant items of interest. After a short break, off to Accademia and the magnificent statute of David and other important pieces, again after only a short wait. Great way to see a lot in a short time with a very knowledgeable guide who's English was excellent. I would highly recommend this tour.
My cousin and I had a great tour. Our Guide was Elena and she really knew her stuff. Her passion for her city and its treasures enriched the entire tour and group. Keys of Italy and Elena really take the experience of the client seriously. Thank you for a great day! Buy tickets in advance as the lines can get very long.
This tour was amazing. Our guide was so knowledgeable and patient to explain everything to us. We absolutely loved him and felt it was one of the best tours we had in Florence. We went from the Accademia, then through the city, and to the Uffizi with fun stops along the way. Florence is a museum itself and having someone to tell you the backstories and history is gold.
We ended up having a private tour with Ricardo. We were so impressed that the company did not cancel the tour even with only the two of us. Ricardo was AMAZING! His knowledge and passion shown through with all that he shared. This is a tour not to be missed. Wonderful introduction to Florence. We started at the Accademia, followed by a tour of Florence as we made our way to the Uffizi and then ushered through the Uffizi to the great works of art. It is an extraordinary tour and we had very memorable time with Ricardo as our guide. With his guidance, our appreciation for the great works was elevated as our understanding deepened. I would definitely book this tour again. Very impressive.
Our guide Riccardo was awesome! After the Uffizi gallery tour, my wife and I were the only ones that opted for the Accadrmia portion. So Riccardo guided us from the Uffizi gallery through town, past the Duomo, and to the Accademia. He gave us his knowledge of the architecture and history of Florence during the walk, along with the history of the Medici. He showed us one of his favorite REAL Gelato spots, and then made the statue of David by Michelangelo as well as his unfinished works come alive. This was the most informational and personal tour we have ever been on. Thank you very much Riccardo and Keys of Florence, we will be back!
