Annette was so knowledgeable and there is so much to cover in the Gallery. She picked out all the most important things to see and she was concise, gave us interesting tidbits that made the tour so enjoyable and kept us moving so the time flew by. She was extremely helpful afterwards in helping us change another tour. My husband and I highly recommendher and would love to take her tours again. A++ Thank you so much!!Vu
You really need to go on a small guided tour of the Uffizi if you want to see the highlights without spending at least one full day there. The guide did a great job of walking us around and then left us to spend more time if we wanted. Do not miss the Uffizi!
For our first trip to Florence we chose to use a guide to tour the Uffizi. In 2 hours time, our very pleasant, knowledgeable guide, Annette, pointed us to the most important pieces of the gallery. We were then free to explore on our own. Definitely the way to go!
This was my second guided tour of the Uffizi. I would say that both the guides were excellent, very passionate, and knowledgeable about their subject. This tour is a must if your visiting Florence. Highly recommended.
The Museum is beautiful, artwork is incredible. July is a little too hot and crowded in all of Italy. There was even a line for Skip the Line guests. The guide did a great job with the history of the Medici family while we waited in line. The sculptures outside were truly something to admire.
This tour is totally misleading when it says you get early access. The Uffizi opens to the public at 8.15am. If you get there at 8.15 there are no lines and you can walk straight in - even in peak season in July. Our appointed meet time was 8.40am and the tour guide didnt turn up until 9am. It was soul-destroying seeing hundreds of individuals and dozens of other tour groups head into the museum while we just waited. We then fluffed around for another fifteen minutes before getting in line for the guided tours and eventually getting into the gallery at 9.40. As soon as we got into the museum we ditched the guide and did our own thing. Sadly by then the gallery was packed with tourists. Total waste of time and money, and a huge mistake.
Even with a skip the line pass there still was a line. However it moved relatively quickly. While we waited in line our wonderful guide explained the early history of the wealthy families and how the museum was started
I would definitely recommend this tour.
