Stunningly good. Our guide Irina was extremely knowledgeable, personable and an excellent communicator. Two hours flew by in what felt more like a full-on art history class rather than a tour. Irina focused on the stand-out works on the top floor and we learnt a huge amount, while never being swamped with trying to see too much. You are free to see more after the tour but we were happy just to absorb the chosen works. Highly recommended.
Difficult to find the meeting place because it was at the tour office which was about a block behind the Uffizi. We hurried to find it and then found out we were the first ones to arrive. Everyone had trouble finding the meeting place.
However, we had the best guide of the whole trip. He was informative and funny and showed us the highlights of the museum. Tour was great but start early to find the meeting place.
The Uffizi is an amazing museum filled with an overwhelming amount of art. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and went through a lot of the master pieces which we otherwise would not know about. It took a while to get in due to the long lines, even though we had the skip the lines tour. Overall a must see if you’re in Florence, and the tour was well organized. The only thing was I think our tour was cut short due to the long lines, maybe our guide had another tour after ours.
Don't use this agency, rude and misleading!
It is very hard is to find your tour even if you are on time and nobody waits to help you nor cares if you make it or not! Unbelievable arrogance!
To meet your small group you have to come to the agency office and even enter the building and climb around to find the apartment office itself. However, this is the easy part. The hard part is finding the address, as it is located in a narrow small street that keeps changing its name after every corner and with 2 completely sets of street numbers - in stone and metal alongside - now guess which ones are correct as there is no one in the street waiting for you! The agency does not mention any of this before you come, the Google map location of their office is not correct guessing due to 2 sets of street numbers used and they don't bother to wait for you nor answer their phone if you call asking for directions we called multiple times!
We finally managed to find them after going up and down the street for a while and entering a wrong building they have no buzz button in the street, only to discover that the front desk keeps their phones muted, presumably not to be bothered by the lost customers??? No big apologies, they led us to our group already at the Uffizi that left without us a while ago, delivered us to the guide and the tour was fine then onwards.
The tour itself was good and just the right amount of information on the major artwork, then you are free to explore on your own, which was good for us. The guide at the gallery was professional and funny, Letitia we think was the name.
Worth visiting the gallery cafe for a drink or a snack both of good quality, beautiful views of the Palazzo Vecchio.
My husband and I loved our afternoon at the Uffizi! It really is a must to do this with a guide so they can show you the highlights and explain the stories behind them. Irina was an amazing tour guide! She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the art there it really was enthralling! Wonderful!
Leticia was great, knowledgeable and passionate about art. I have been here before, but she concentrated on the best of the best. Explaining relationships of the artists, their influence on one another. She explained evolving styles of painting. What the individual contributions to art. There were also personal anecdotes about the artists. This was a most enjoyable visit.
Lori (she spells it differently but I don't remember how!), born in Brooklyn, moved to Florence 20 years ago was the most incredible tour guide I ever experienced in my life! I ate up every fact she spoke! I have never in my life been so interested in art history, the history of a city and of a country! She made it interesting and easy to understand
