Dreadful! No advantage buying this in advance as you still have to queue up along with non ticket holders. We queued for nearly 2 hours for a 3 minute tram ride up. Couldn't see much as crammed in. Couldn't face queuing an hour to do the return trip down. Sky Terrace overrated and hard to get decent photos due to the volume of people and the dreaded 'selfie sticks
Best way of getting to the top of The Peak is No 15 bus from the bus station outside Star Ferry Terminal, Hong Kong. Costs 9.5 HK Dollars and ride is about 40 mins to the top with great views all the way - brilliant value for money and very comfortable
it is a horrible experience. It is not worth to pre-purchased the ticket at all. There is no separated line for people have tickets. We still have to stand in line with people without ticket to redeem the tickets. The line is over 2 hours long, we gave up, just wasted our tickets. This is nothing to do with Viator, hope Viator can give the feedback to The Peak Tram.
One of the big selling points of buying this ticket before you go was to cut out having to queue for your ticket - unfortunately buying this Peak Tram Sky Pass does not achieve this objective as you all have to stand in EXACTLY the same queue to exchange your Peak Tram Sky Pass voucher for the tickets you require. Absolutely no point in buying this before hand just queue for your tickets
Based on my experience, don't bother buying a voucher assuming that the entry would be quicker. When we went, due to holiday Christmas, there was a huge crowd for this activity and we had to stand in the queue for around 90 min. They were selling the tickets for fast lane entry with couple of bucks extra which would be better to Opt rather than waiting in the queue with a voucher.
Over 2.5 hours in a line to get on the tram and an hour to get back down. Place was packed and view was very restricted.
Of all the things we did in HK, this was by far the worst.
If you must do the trip, avoid the dusk trip at all costs.
