Viator just did basic transport with changing vehicles and not adhering to key asks on timings . There was no side trips after going so far like the country side strawberry farms , or proper visit time to Batu caves .
We went two days ago, with my wife and 2 boys, 12 and 14 yrs, Very good scenes and landscape!
The view from the cable cars is simply one of the best views you can ever see. It took us around 1.5 hour from Kuala city center.
The outdoor theme park is closed! So currently you can only use the indoors one which is quite basic.
Could be nice for people traveling with small kids, but if you are traveling with teenagers like my case, they might be disappointment.
The bus used by the agency was struggling to go up the mountain, the average speed was around 15-20 km maximum, definitely they need to get coaches with much stronger engines. Our overall experience was good.
The worst part was our tour guide! He was very careless. Was walking without even looking back to make sure people are following. He didn't even care to count the people and make sure no one is missing. It is an example of how an unwelcoming guide can spoil a nice tour.
We reached hotel and inform the hotel staff that we book for Genting trip in 19/1/17 when we checked into the hotel on 18/1/17. Staff Hotel give me a form to fill up my name and contact and informed that we will be contacted in due course.
The next day, we went down at 8am to the hotel lobby to wait for the travel agent eagerly, however we cant find him and check with the hotel.No news, we left for breakfast and came back at 9.30am outside the hotel lobby again. Still the travel agent can not been found and still patiently wait. At 10.30am after being impatient, i Fauziah checked with the hotel lobby and found that the agent had checked with the hotel staff and denied that no guest by my husband's nameAb. Razak Embi. By that time the tour agent left the hotel and confirmed that the tour agent waited for us about 30mins.
I booked the tour under my name but paid using my husband's credit card.
The hotel staff was unable to assist him because hotel was registered under my my name.
so desparate, i started calling your helpline and hotline, unfortunately no one answered and help us.
I would like to ask:
1. why tour agent waited just for half hour 30mins? - minimum at least an hour for instance to be safe.
2. why tour agent did not make an effort to try for 2nd time to come to the hotel because hotel staff had forgotten about it ? - his duty
3. why tour agent did not leave his number to the hotel staff in any case the guestwhich we did be sure to check with the hotel staff?
I am so sad as i had made payment and had wasted a day at the hotel with no other itenary.
