Great tour

Had a fantastic overall experience. Our guide did a great job of providing information, answering our questions and making the tour a good time. We enjoyed every stop on the tour and felt we left with a great perspective on Malaysian food and culture. Highly recommend!

Povan was an excellent guide! He took me to a number of places and I got to try some amazing and memorable foods, and also gave suggestions for other food to try. His historical knowledge was great too, giving some information about the city and area that was fascinating.

Ruth is a fantastic guide as well as a true food enthusiast, a chef who offers cooking classes and an all-around pleasure to spend a day with. The food she chose for us was plentiful and--more important--delicious! She ran the gamut from Malaysian to Chinese to Indian and more, and we hit all the biggest and best food areas in the city. I can't recommend this tour more highly.

Chef Faris did an outstanding job selecting a variety of Malaysian, Chinese and Indian foods. He provided some history and perspective on the culture of food from these locations. It was a culinary delight!
Poor tour

This tour was much below our expectations. We did have four tastes of delicious local foods but we had put our dietary requirements which the tour guide had mentioned she wasn’t aware of till the last minute. We walked for very long distances in empty areas for long periods of time to reach other areas to taste the food. The guide was nice and friendly however the tour was certainly not worth what we paid and was of poor quality. I only say this for either the guide to uplift her tour or/ and for people to be aware of what they are getting into.

What an amazing experience we had...

What an amazing experience we had with our guide T.K on this tour. As it was a private tour he gave us the option of going truly off the tourist trail to hidden places where the locals eat. We did not regret our decision as we had a unique experience and sampled foods and visited places we would never have had the courage or knowledge to do on our own. We had Indian food in a back street family run restaurant, beef pendants from a market stall,tofu and pancakes from established street vendors, noodles and pork, a drink made from local fruits, so much food we didn't need to eat for the rest of day!
It was just like having a friend show you round his favourite places. He also took care to get us a taxi back to our hotel at the end of the tour. If you want a truly authentic local experience in Kuala Lumpur we would definitely recommend this tour and if you request TK you are good hands.
