My husband took our daughters to go and see the Harry Potter show all the way from South Africa....and obviously the show was all they could wish for...so much so that they did not expect much from the trip to the aquarium mom booked for them...and were they surprised, what an experience! They really enjoyed it!
This was a nice thing to do that we hadn't yet done in London - I have seen better aquariums. The highlight for me was walking on glass over the shark tank and crouching down to look below the water line at the penguins dashing through it. A warning though - if, like me, you get a bit overwhelmed by children, then maybe try avoid the aquarium. Having said that, I think we went during school holidays. Its clearly a great thing to do as a family! Also, skipping the line was worth it.
The Aquarium was beautiful! We loved the exhibits! Sharks, rays, penguins, jellyfish - everything was so beautiful, and so informative. We could have stayed there all day watching the fish swim around. It's so peaceful!
Very expensive for what it is. We have been to other sea life centres with just as much exhibited for half the price. Saying that, they are not in the centre of London
Great time at Sea Life. Took extraordinary photos and made wonderful memories. Highly recommend.
Went with wife and 2yr old. Queues were short on non school holiday, so the skip the line tickets only saved 5 mins. Staff moved people into right queues.
A bit cramped to start with but the crowd thinned out, we enjoyed most of the areas, penguins were too cramped, but main tank was the highlight.
The Aquarium experience itself was fine. However the administration and management of our visit was hopeless - truly inept. We booked the Priority Behind the Scenes tour for myself, my wife and our two grandchildren aged 4 and 6. We printed the vouchers and searched in vain for details of when we should/could arrive. There was no facility to book at a specific time,. The best that was said was that tours left on the hour. We phoned the 0800 supplied that didn't work at all even though we tried 2 days running. We phoned the 24 hour helpline. No-one answered. We checked the number with Dir inquiries, they only knew of the 0800 number. A major London attraction with no phone????? Pathetic. We arrived at 1.50pm expecting to join the tour on the hour at 2.00pm. No such luck, we were told the next tour that had space was 3.30pm. That is not on the hour incidentally. We then had to decide how to entertain 2 young boys for 90 mins. Not easy. We decided to make the most of it and just go on the Aquarium tour. That was fine but by the time we had done that we had two tired and slightly disappointed boys on our hands as they had been told about the Behind the Scenes tour. The staff at the Aquarium were pleasant but their instructions about joining the tour later downstairs made little sense. So, sorry, something needs to be done to make the booking process more user friendly.
It was ok, nothing bad, could've been better. The aquarium to me was small and not a lot of animals in it.
Brilliant day out, behind the scene tour very informative, this was a Christmas pressy for my son and he loved every minute of it. As there were only 8 people we all got to ask questions, see and touch various items. The guide was extremely helpful and pleasant. Was very busy but with a little bit of patience was able to get to see everything in the aquarium.
The behind the scenes tour made the visit memorable.
