Convenient but suggest you book the return shuttle a few hours earlier than you flight

I really do like the convenience of the shuttles although this is the 2nd time that the return shuttle to the airport (two different trips in two different countries) has almost been a disaster. I called the day before to double check the pick up time and still they didn't arrive on time. This last time in Malta, it was over 40 minutes late and I almost missed my flight. I'll have to re-think using a shuttle in the future.
Our return transfer to the airport was very good. We even got a confirmation letter from the company which they left it at the front desk - Contrary to our arrival experience which we already conveyed in our previous comment. This time they send a private car to pick us up and the driver was on time,excellent and very helpful. His name is Orazi Awelli.
We booked this arrival transfer and after 14 hours flight from USA we looking forward to check in our hotel however, we ended up waiting more than 40 mins at shuttle transfer company because they wanted to fill up the van of 14 people before they departed. The distant from the airport to our hotel was about 14 mins according to my google map but it took them 55 mins to reach our hotel because they have to drop off everyone before they reached our hotel. Do not recommend to use this service unless you have an extra 2 hours to spare.
Viator needs to improve their system for communication between operators and customers. I didn't know where to meet the operator at the airport which was fine, I just asked at the information desk and they were able to point me in the right direction or what my pickup for departure would be - I had the hotel call the operator the day before and ask, but if the operator hadn't had to email me with a question about my departure date information which should have been asked for on the initial Viator form, I wouldn't have known who was operating the service. While it worked out fine for this service unlike another booking for a tour which I missed due to poor communication, I probably won't book through Viator again, which is too bad, as it looks like their services are of good quality.
It's doesn't deserve even 1 star, on way from airport to hotel I was dropped of 1/2 km from hotel in middle of the night I dragged my suitcase on cobblestone pavement and I am not teenager, on way from hotel to airport they run scam, I was ready to go from my room and I got call from service desk of the hotel that driver is waiting, but when I was there in a minute they told me that driver left, I tried to call provided number of the supplier but nobody was on line so when I went to the place were shuttle suppose to be, conveniently was parked taxiscam it's cost me 40 Euro to get to the airport, I think Viator should check into local suppliers that running scam on Viator customers.
At the airport there was no way to find out where to go to find out who would pick us up. We searched for a few minutes and a woman told us to wait outisde for a driver. He showed up after half-an-hour, after that it was smooth. There should be better coordination between the booking agent Viator and the transport company on the ground.
From the correspondence with Viator at the time of booking, it was not clear whether price includes the return trip from the hotel to the airport. Writing to Viator did not clearly answer the question, never received a confirmation about the drop to the airport. After I booked a taxi, the driver from the transport company approached me, without ever telling me when he would pick us up. It was no help to know in the last minute. I had to pay extra to go by taxi to the airport.
