This was a great trip if you want to get away from the busy city and enter some peace and quiet. Feed the monkeys, let them sit on your shoulders, just don't let them rob your from your bag of peanuts like they did to me lol
I recommend bringing a water bottle, snacks, and a bathing suit if you want to swim.
The tour guide was excellent, and the people selling their merchandise do not pester you the way they do in the Medina's. This is a very relaxing and calm place to be.
Bring good shoes that have traction, some parts of the trail can be a bit steep so good shoes is advised. This is trail is not too much for children or elderly people to handle either.
This was a fairly priced day trip to a beautiful location, our guide for the falls (Ibrahim) was knowledgable and entertaining and the walk was paced well. Lunch was pricey for what it was (and nearly double what I saw in other places on the walk back up), even if we had a view of the falls. I’ve eaten two course meals in Marrakech and Essaouira for half the price, and we weren’t told the price beforehand. But this is a small niggle in an otherwise great day out. I’m not at all fit so the walk up and out was an effort, but well worth it.
I must admit that this was the best value for money day trip that we have done over recent years. Our guide was good and kept us interested throughout the tour of the falls, despite a few bad jokes, haha! The falls were impressive and well worth the effort. The meal was not included in the price of the trip, but much appreciated and good for the price.
This is a long day trip but we thought it was a wonderful excursion. Wasn't expecting to have food at the end in the hilltop eatery but it was delicious food but not very personal during to the volume of tourists...if anything it was a little rushed, part of my meal was missed and although asked for was never served. The weather was beautiful and the guide was funny and very knowledgeable. Would defo do this trip again and highly recommend.
