Everything was as described in the literature. A beautiful boat . . . excellent waitstaff . . . delicious food . . . Paris by night! What else could one ask for? The lovely live music - piano and violin - only added to the total experience . . . this is a unique way to see Paris at its most beautiful . . . truly magnificent!
This was a comfortable and enjoyable experience, though the music content was disappointing. Piano and violin and no dancing. I was expecting a nice band that you could dance to, as was my experience several years ago. I found this music a bit depressing! The food was good, though my second course (beef and mash) was cold. It would have been delicious if hot. Waiter service was excellent.
We boarded the boat and hand a lovely table with a great view. It took a very long time for anyone to come to our table and bring us the champagne. Then waited again to take our order. As we watched others beginning and finishing their 1st course. Finally the waiter who was very nice, explained he was the only one in a large section. We had chosen the executive menu.Which was nice except the main course. I had the prime rib, which was so fatty, it was difficult to find the meat. My husband had the lamb which tasted awful. The dessert was served as the others were leaving the boat as it had already docked. No coffee was offered. Although the dessert was very nice and they inserted a sparker for my husbands birthday. The cruise itself was beautiful and the boat ride very smooth. If I were to do this again, I would chose a simple meal, as you do not go for the food.
Evening was overall a good experience. Must remember to ask how your food will be served to avoid being disappointed. Salmon came raw, and red meat raw although asked for medium-well done. Be sure you’re clear when ordering. If in doubt ask. Some people come very well dressed and others not dressed for the occasion. Tidy jeans formal shoes and a nice shirt will suffice. Any more would be silly.
Lovely modern boat if quite red inside. Staff nice food was slightly hit and miss..duck dish okay chicken main was dry and served with some potatoes but no veg..very beige...dessert of passion fruit white chocolate dome was delicious. Plenty of opportunities to pop upstairs to catch the sights which was lovely... unfortunately our waiter didn't appear to believe it was my birthday so didn't get the special occasion sparklers like many others..all in all everything was as expected apart from some of the food, great way to see the sights..very romantic x
