Fun tour with a very knowledgeable driver (Deana). Went from rain in Porto to valleys of sunshine (intermittent)... so beautiful. Eric at Quinta Do Beijo was an awesome wine guide. Views at Quinta Do Tedo were to die for.
We had a wonderful time on our tour. Our guide, Ana, was fantastic - a great driver and very knowledgeable.
We liked both vineyards that we went to and the restaurant where we had lunch was amazing! Great, authentic Portuguese food and lots of wine. There was great weather the day of our tour, which made the boat ride even more enjoyable.
Even though we could not purchase the boat tickets in advance through Viator we had no problem getting tickets on site.
A long day but a great one, amazing wineries with interesting guides telling you about the wines and a beautiful lunch. Would definitively recommend. Our guide Helio was very knowledgable too, thanks for a great day
the visits themselves were oustanding, very informative and tastful :) the driving on the portughese winding valley roads provided us with majestic views. John, the driver, was very nice, easy to get along with, full of stories and information and also provided us with recommendation for a fantastic dinner.
Amazing views, authentic food, great wine and olive oil tastings, top-notch guide

Our family of three thoroughly enjoyed the absolutely stunning views of the Douro Valley and the history our guide provided us with throughout the day. Christian was knowledgeable, and he clearly feels pride for his country. We were a group of eight, four of which spoke Spanish, and the other four English. Christian adeptly provided insights and explanations in both languages, and with humor. We were impressed. The wineries we visited were small, family-owned operations, and at one we were treated to a tasting of a 56 year-old white port! What a treat. The river cruise on the rabela gave us views from the water and was very relaxing. Pinhao train station tiles were interesting to see. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel, which was very convenient. All in all, we highly recommend this tour without reservation!
We had the best time on our Wine Tour of the Duoro Valley. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable, we met so many great people and the wines/views were the best! (Nothing against the tour but beware if you get car sick due to windy road ride on the way to the cruise).
Thank you for taking your time to review us!

All the best,
Our guide was Ana. She gave us very good explanations during all the journey and the visits. The transfer to Duero from Porto took around 1.5 hours and she was telling us about Historical events of Porto, wine tradition and the places we passed by; it was a good time at the van (round trip)
The first stop was the bridge, then the visit of the first bodega and the lunch, for finishing the first part of the day. The lunch was delicious! Then the visit to the train station, the second bodega and the boat.
It was a great day, but specially the guide was awesome.
The only thing to improve is the explanation at the second bodega. It was super interesting information, but could be even better.
Ana picked us up promptly at 8:30 and drove 1 1/2 hours to Pinhao. The group consisted of 4 couples, an ideal sized group, and we got on well. The tour included lunch in Pinhao, visit to a winery and olive oil cooperative (both with tastings) and ~ 1 hour cruise on the Douro. Ana was a terrific guide (5*) who was informative and engaging. The meal and wines tasted were so-so. It was a hot day and we were quite uncomfortable in the rear of the van because, although the air conditioning was on, there were no vents in the back so we were feeling hot and a bit queasy on the return drive. The Douro Valley is beautiful and a “must-see” if one is in Porto or nearby. And this is a good way to see the area and get a feel for it. With a better lunch, wine and ride home this would have been a 5 star experience.
