We had to wait for a tropical thunderstorm that was torrential .
Christopher the stabe and guide lead was very nice and friendly.
The ride with a group of 10 was enjoyable. When we returned, the manager was rude and I believe rasist. He was selling the same disk to people in the group, but charging non whites $50 and demanded $85 f'd from us, the only white customers. When the cost was pointed out, he yelled at us and refused to speak to us and refused the pictures to be sold to us. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
We had a great time, and the tour guides were excellent. The view along the beach is spectacular!!! It was quiet and peaceful and most of all beautiful. I love the fact that they provide a photographer for the the beginning of the ride to allow you to truly taking in the surroundings!!! They were very hospitable, the driver was on time and was great!!! He was very courteous!
Had a great time! Lots of beach riding, and even some cantering for those who wanted to go faster! Our kids absolutely loved it (8 & 11 years old) Bring your phone/camera and take your own photos- the prices to buy the CD of photos were different for everyone in our group ($50-85!) if they lowered the price a bit or had the same price for everyone they would have sold a few CDs.
I am an experienced rider and this was a very a very bad experience After mis communication about our pick up we finally arrived at the ranch. The horses were all saddled and bridled and held in an overcrowded paddock. We signed our waivers, had a brief overview and were asked if everyone knew how to ride. Most of the horses were very thin with protruding hip bones. Some had saddle sores. A guide would get a horse and put a rider on with no assessing our experience. When everyone was ready we were herded out. There was a guide in front and one in back pushing our horses forward. We rode nose to butt and often bumped the person next to us because we were so close together. We stopped to take pictures. Group shots, families and individual photos As we continued on a guide would hold someone back and then they cantered a few hundred yards up to the group. When we arrived back at the ranch we spent about 45 minutes looking at the photos and having the staff try to sell us the photos and a bottle of rum. It was way overpriced at $65 for the photos and rum! I had hoped this would be a good experience for my daughter (who is also an experienced rider) to enjoy a nice ride along the beach. This has to be the worst horse back riding experience ever! I do not recommend this activity to anyone .
An Amazing Half Day Trip Horse Riding Through the Woodlands & Along the Beach. Stunning Scenery & Fantastic Horse Riding. Great Guides , a Fantastic Relaxing & Fun Day Out. Would Definitely Do this again !!!
For the most part, it was a good excursion. They arrived on time to pick us up from the hotel. The 1-hour excursion we paid for ended up being 2-hours long. Thankfully, we had nowhere to be afterwards. But it was great that they did not rush you and gave everyone more time to enjoy. Beautiful scenic route. The guides were great and handled the horses pretty well to keep them in line. They were on horses as well to keep them in line. They took pictures for you once we stopped. I gave this 4-stars because upon arrival, I was freaked out at how many horses were cooped up in a stable and pigeons were engulfing the place so I did not know what we had gotten ourselves into. The horses are trained for first-time riders like myself. They knew the route but they could get a little agitated. My spouse had the most unruly horse of them all. Thankfully, it was not his first time on the horse. One of the guides switched out his horse once we got to the half-way point which was very good of them to do. I figure they were a little agitated because of how cooped up they are in the stable that's just my opinion. Heads up: you can get a picture package that includes a CD of pictures and video clips of the adventure, a framed picture, and a drink with your picture on it, all for 65. The CD of pictures by itself is 50.
We booked this excursion for a 1 Hour horseback riding on the beach, not knowing there was an option to make it 2 hours. Among our group we my husband and I and one other couple were the only ones that booked for the 1 hour option among a big group of 15-20. Our tour guide was kind enough to bump us up to the 2 hour tour option free of charge, which we thought was very generous!!
Now this was my first time horseback riding, so I was a bit anxious.. not sure how it was going to go, but I was nervous for nothing! The horseback riding itself was bumpy but safe and was very relaxing. The guides were there to help and made sure no one was left behind. The horses themselves looked very well cared for and well-built no ribs showing!. I actually enjoyed it so much, and I only wish I had more experience with horseback riding so I could've gone at a faster pace. The beach was beautiful and our photographer made sure to capture every moment!! The picture package were 50 so there's that, but we think of it as giving back to the community and giving back to the beautiful horses. Overall we highly recommend this excursion!!
