A little confusing meeting up with our group. (Many groups meet up in the same spot). Guide was exceedingly knowledgeable of Ancient Rome culture and politics- which he incorporated into the tour. Very enjoyable!
We are so happy with this tour. Our guide was Isa she was punctual and the information she gave us was very interesting and knowledgeable. She uses books, poster etc to accommodate visual learners as well. We truly enjoyed her tour and learned a lot! We recommend this tour and try to get her as your guide too!
Our tour guide (who's name I believe was Andrea) provided lots of insightful and interesting information at every part of the tour, and was able to answer even the most technical of questions from the audience. We were able to see all three sites in detail. It was a small group (11) which made it a more personal, but also efficient tour. We were given radios and earphones which helped us to hear clearly all the information. Also, unlike some other tours we came across, there were no surprise fees, everything (including entry to all three sites) was included in the price paid. Over all it was a fantastic tour and for the best price we could find - would highly recommend.
This tour is alright but, it is too rushed. More time was needed in the Coliseum. The guide rushed us through too quickly. About 5 minutes maximum was spent on the 2nd level. Time to visit the gift shop was not allotted. This is important because you cannot re-enter the Coliseum. The Roman Forum had buildings that were open for you to enter. Our guide did not take us to those buildings at all. The tour was supposed to last 3 hours but, it lasted 2 hours and 40 minutes tops. Not sure if they are counting the time you are to meet the guide 20 minutes prior to the tour starting time? If you go to the Coliseum early in the morning, you will not have lines and can take all the time you want to explore.
Valaddio was an excellent guide - very thorough historical knowledge mixed with good humorous and fun facts. 3hrs is a good amount of time for this tour but if left with wanting more - you end within the Palatine Hill so you can backtrack/ look at more
