This was one of the best organized tour that I have ever been on. The tour guide had a great sense of humour and was very knowledgeable. He spoke very good English and provided interesting information on the history and culture of Korea. He also gave us a lesson on the Korean language.
The hotels and meals that were provided were very good. Days started at 8:30 am and the bus was comfortable. It would have been nice to have seen more of the Olympic sites in PyeongChang.
A well- paced trip to some of the most interesting places in S Korea. The accommodation was 5 star and the guide explained well the history of the sites we visited. He used his good judgement to vary the programme to suit our interests e.g. we did not want to go shopping so he took us to the UN cemetery in Busan instead which turned out to be a very moving experience. He took us to local restaurants to explore typical Korean food, but after a while we longed for something western, which is why this review gets 4 stars and not 5. I thoroughly recommend this trip.
We had once in a lifetime experiences on this tour. Our guide, Charlie, was very, very good, personable, and very knowledgeable. Whatever someone asked or needed he was no problem. The bus and bus driver were top notch. We learned a lot about the people and history of South Korea and about current times in this beautiful country. Our group of 22, from several countries, were all very nice and interesting to be with. The hotels were all very good, and the variety and quality of the meals was great. We highly recommend this tour.
A fantastic way to get an overview of highlights in eastern South Korea. We loved visiting the temples and especially the nature parks. We felt that this was an excellent value for our money and included high class hotels and wonderful local dining. Our driver was very skilled and our guide was superior!
Our 4-day Tour has been wonderful and we believe it was excellent value for the price we paid. We had a relatively small group 22 and we were all very pleasant travel companion, from USA, UK, Germany and New Zealand. Over the few days, we really got to know each other quite well. Jason our tour guide was very friendly and indeed wonderful. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. Our tour coach, a Kia, was excellent, with spacious business class leather seats and we had a careful polite driver, Mr Lee. Our hotels, Novetel in Busan, Hilton in Gyeongju, Intercontinental in Alpensia Pyeongchang are all excellent and often with free Wifi. All meals on tour were included. The breakfasts were good. We sampled different types of Korean food at lunch and dinner over the four days, including bibimbap, Korean BBQ, and even puffer fish we all tried it and we all survived!. We visited UNESCO site e.g Bulguksa Temple, magnificent Korean architecture e.g Jinjuseong Fortress, historic Korean sites e.g Hahoe Village, Tumuli Park, modern shopping malls e.g. Shinsegae Centumcity Department Store in Busan, certified by Guinness World Records to be the largest department store in the world, driving past Hyundai ship yards and car factory in Ulsan, as well as having ample time spectacular natural scenes e.g. Ulgi Rocks, Mt Seorak's Jujeongoi which reminded me of Huangshan in China. Also, because we travelled in April, there were magnificent cherry blossoms everywhere, even lining urban city streets. Our highlight was a hands-on making paper experience, Hanji, in Wonji. This tour just over a few days gave us a reasonably good insight into Korean history, culture, cuisine and modern archectural, technological and industrial wonders. I would highly recommend this.
