Tour Operator should have known school holiday wristband options were in effect which woukd have avoided us getting pulled off gondola and saved us about 10-15 minutes. Steve our guide was great tho. A few too many stops...some with too much time (people all back on coach early) and a few with too little.
Tour started out a little disappointing. 2 hour drive to start out the day. and several pick up spots after us at 7:00 am. But once we got to the blue mountains and the sun was shining bright. The day went really nice. Our guide was very nice and talkative. We had several photo stops. A lot of walking to be aware of for those with limitations. This did not affect us but did affect a couple of others with us who decided to stay back at a few stops. Feather dale Zoo was great but would have loved to have had more time there. Our lunch stop was also very good. We ordered ahead of time and it was almost ready when we arrived. About 5 things to chose from. Fish and chips were awesome.
The day started out a little rough, with there being a lot of rain. The bus was slightly late, however when I called the company to check about the bus they were very pleasant and assured me that the bus was on the way. Not even two minutes later I got a phone call letting me know exactly why the bus was running late and apologizing. Our tour guide, Robert, made the rest of the day splendid. He was hilarious, and was just pleasant to be around. The Blue Mountains were beautiful. Lunch was very good, I have read reviews that there the food was not great, but I have to disagree. The chicken parmigiana was amazing! It was very fulfilling. My favorite part of the trip (besides the surprise wedding proposal, which was so cute) was the opportunity to feed kangaroos and wallabies at Featherdale Wildlife Park. I do wish I had had more time to spend there, but an hour is plenty of time to see everything there if you do not spend all of your time feeding the kangaroos like I did. Overall, I highly recommend this tour. Also because it is a small group the tour guide knows each person's name, and takes the time to get to know a little about each person on the tour. It seemed expensive to me until I actually went on the trip, it was definitely worth the price.
Our day started and ended with rain and fog, thus we couldn't see a lot at Scenic World and had a very wet river cruise. However, Kunal, our guide, tried his best to make the tour as entertaining as possible. He tried to find other lookout points for us to catch a glimspe of the scenery, even though everyone pretty much gave up at that point. He was also very knowledgeable on Australia's history and current news, and most of all he was a safe driver. We were really lucky as the sun was out while we were at Featherdale Wildlife Park - loved the time I spent there but I wish we could have a bit more time there.
