This is WAY overpriced. Many tours offered if you schedule upon arrival for less than half this price. Guide was only interested in talking about US politics, US income and way of life vs sharing information about the island; VERY LITTLE was learned about he Philippines itself. Do not recommend at ALL
The tour went great. The tour was scheduled to take place the day after we arrived at our resort. When we got to the hotel, we tried to call the number provided for our local contact and perhaps it was after hours because we couldnt reach anyone at that number, But then we texted the contact. The contact responded to the text and via our hotel front desk ... All was good. he showed up on time at the lobby holding up my name.
He took us to the Tarsiers habitat in a sectioned off piece of natural habitat for them. It had a small museum .
The dedicated driver then took us to the chocolate hills. be prepared to climb what appears to be 300 stairs... but when you get to the top you will be welcomed by a cooling bnreeze and great scenery.
The riverboatcruise was my favorite part. You are on a barge with a thatched roof and buffett table. it floats down the Loboc river. You finish the tour at a small habitat for snakes and they plop a python in your lap for picture moments. and finally a quick stop to a Spanish monument. 7 to 8 hours total. We were back in time for dinner at the hotel. Just like any vacation, it is very fortunate if you can get a fair weather day. Ours was dry with a lot of cloud cover which to me was perfect.
The full day Bohol tour is very well organised with your tourguide driving you to see old churches, the tarsier sanctuary where you can take pictures of the tarsiers,a visit to the top of the lookout to see the famous Chocolate hills make sure to bring a raincoat or umbrella. The river bridge made of bamboo or something similar is fun to cross and when your on the other side be sure to buy a souvenir t-shirt of Bohol to remember your visit and the highlight of the tour is the Loboc River Cruise. The food is delicious and it is a relaxing trip down the river with a singer providing entertainment onboard, the boat stops at one location and locals provide a welcoming song and do some amazing dancing.Overall one of the best value for money experiences.
I purchased this tour for someone else. I live in the US and I purchased this tour for 3 people who live in Bohol. They absolutely loved the tour and still rave about it. They enjoyed themselves immensely and saw parts of Bohol that they had never seen. They were very satisfied and said that the tour guide was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see all of Bohol.
We had a great tour guide and the experience of seeing the chocolate hills and the Tarsier's was just breath taken. The man made forest reminded us of back home in the USA. We did not get to go on the river lunch for it was Good Friday and everything was closed for the holiday, but we did get to eat at CHOPS and that was wonderful. To see all the ruins of the old churches due to the earthquake was just a sadden experience. I would recommend this trip to all My family and I cant wait to do it again.
