Xcaret-dagtrip vanuit Cancun

When we were picked up at our Cancun resort, the driver told us that our names were not in the system. I showed him my written confirmation and he was able to resolve the matter when we arrived at their bus depot/headquarters where we changed to another bus that brought us to Xcaret. The guide on the bus talked our ears off the entire ride, loudly repeating himself over and over. He kept telling us that it would be a great decision to spend 69 for the park's picture service. He talked so much it made us dizzy. It turns out that many, if not most of the best attractions at Xcaret cost a lot more additional money to partake in, typically an additional 60 more per person, per attraction. This is like going to Disney World and paying a lot extra for each of the top attractions like Space Mountain. We paid 30 each for a buffet tip. It was pretty good for mass-produced food. The animals at the park were very enjoyable to see, especially the manatees and turtles. Great macaws! The aquarium displays are EXCELLENT! My wife swam the full length of the underground river and enjoyed it very much. We also enjoyed the beach. We wanted to go on the half-hour speedboat ride but no thanks for an additional 60 each. I recommend this excursion but realize that once there, it can cost you a fortune to partake in the top attractions! We were glad we went, but would not go again.

It is too expensive in terms of what we can see and play. The snorkeling is just a joke. You feel like you are snorkeling in a pool. It is absolutely misleading.

We enjoyed the day but needed more time. The first thing they have you do is wait in line to pay for the extra activities. We chose to swim with the dolphins and there was a special for just 10 more to also do snorkeling. Though these two activities were pretty cool, it took up most of our day - 90 minutes for snorkeling and 30 for dolphins, plus you needed to arrive early for each activity. So I feel like our entry fee was for swimming down the underground river and the evening show. Made the day very pricey. When choosing where to eat our dinner, the first 3 restaurants were closed. If the weather was warmer, we may have decided to go the next day as well. Due to the wind, the tower was closed. No need to pay for up close dinner seats at the evening show. All seats are great!

We had a wonderful time at this park. The food was great at the restaurant and the park was very scenic. I had a great time at the beach. The bus ride was very comfortable too.

We had a great trip to Xcaret via air conditioned busses. Our guide going was very good about giving us info about the park and letting us know where to meet at the end of the day to board our bus again. It was professionally done.
Reminders:
1. Not all suntan lotions are allowed in since it is an ecological park. You can buy an ecologically sound sun block at the park. Check website for more info.
2. Bring your own towels or rent them there.
3. This all day event ends at approx. 9 pm after the Xcaret Spectacular show buses left at 9:45 pm although it seemed that u also had the opportunity to go back at 4:45 pm. Check with company ahead of time
4. The underground river takes about 45-60 minutes swimming from point A to point B. There are multiple early exit routes through out.
5. Do not miss the Mexican buffet at La Cocina
6. The Xcaret Mexico spectacular is a MUST!!!

Our Xcaret Day Trip was absolutely amazing! It was especially nice that we did not have to drive. It was a great idea to have Viator pick us up and drop us off. I strongly encourage it. Can't wait to go back.

We had a great time. Not enough time to do everything, too many choices. Really enjoyed the evening show!

If you have a day to spare in Cancun, I highly recommend spending it at Xcaret.

Most incredible place I've been too! Loved every bit of it. Perfect for so many people, old and young. Really want to be back there now!
