I saw the reviews and believed it would be a great tour, but I did not like it at all. First, the package did not mention that there is a possible locker fee if you're doing the zipline. I have been on other zipline tours, and they never charge extra for locker fee. The locker fee is only 3, but I hate unexpected fee for services after paying so much for the tour and transportation. Second, the gear for the zipline smelled pretty bad. It smelled like others' sweat. I didn't want to put it on, but I had no choice. Third, the service at the lunch was okay. I waited for a long time to complete my request. I wasn't sure if he got it, but the server wasn't around. So, I can't check with him either. Fourth, the tram tour is an hour and twenty minutes long. It was so slow and exhausting to be on it. Lastly, the most important thing is that the tour guide does not speak English very well. Even though I could tell that he tried very hard to share facts of the wild animals, I felt bad that I could not understand his English due to his accent and some incorrect pronunciation. I appreciated that our guide worked very hard to make our tour great. I have so much more to share. The different gardens are not as clean as the other gardens I visited. If this tour is the first tour I have been on, I may have better experiences.
Ok as someone with serious height and depth phobias it was a struggle to book and the only thing that kept me was the fact that I pasted the refund deadline. Leading up to the zip-lining part I was terrified but I had came to Costa Rica solo on a mission to be spontaneous and adventurous. After the initial nervousness of the taking the first step off the platform, I had an amazing time. Once I started zip-lining a calmness took over my body and I was able to look around and enjoy the moment. This is credited to the staff that were oh so comforting and understanding. Also the photography, I'm really bad with names, she was the sweetest. Also not once did I ever scare about the safety ness, it was double-lined and harnessed securely.
So if anyone is like me scared of rollercoasters and etc. but want to face your fears. I think this is the experience for you. Now I will not sell a fairytale. The lines get longer and higher being that there are 11 but as you conquer one line you feel better and better. I never thought in a million years I would do something like this, I'm still surprised. One last thing, anyone who does this please rent a helmet with the gopro. I was fortunate to do so and it was amazing to have the footage of this once in a lifetime experience. Peace and love to the good folks at Rainforest Adventures.
We spent a week in Costa Rica and this was our favorite tour. I thought we had to choose a few of the adventures but the guides were organized and lead us through all of them. The aerial tram was about 80 minutes long but it did not drag. Our guide was knowledgeable and made the entire tram ride enjoyable. It is amazing the differences in flora and fauna in each of the levels of the rainforests. This tram tour took us through 3 of the 4 different levels. With an expert tour guide, you notice the little things around you.
The absolute highlight was the zip lining, hands down. We took our children with us, 5 years and 9 years old. We were afraid they would be too scared as once you start on the series of zip lines, there is no turning back. They did wonderfully and LOVED it. The views were incredible and while some were crazy long in distance, truly spectacular. While you may be scared and focusing on the line, take the time and look around. Zip lining through a rain forest is an incredible adventure. Such beauty and from such a different perspective.
I liked the van that took us to the meeting point was only 8. At times, they may try and cram 12 people in a van which makes the trip unbearable but this was great. A must do while in Costa Rica!!
The 6 in 1 tour was wonderful at the site of the tour, but our experience in the bus wasnt up to our expectations. There was no tour guide on the bus and the driver only spoke Spanish. The driver was even later than other tours. We had to call the operator or Ikm not sure we would have had a pick-up. The drive was basically in his own little work and didn even attemp to communicate with us and I speak some Spanish. On the other hand, our tour guide at the park was fantastic and even my friend who questioned going on the zip line enjoyed herself. They were all very encouraging and positive. It was like 2 entirely different experiences when comparing the trip to the park and the activities in the park.
Long drive, but fun day! I enjoyed every part of the experience, though there weren't any hummingbirds in the garden, and didn't see much wildlife. One sloth. Zipline was great, 11 different lines with the last one being more than a half mile! Others have complained that the aerial tram was boring, but I actually enjoyed it. Our guide was great and taught us a lot!
the ziplines were very under whelming and not nearly as many as I hoped they would be, although the last line was fun and long lasted about 50 seconds the rest of the lines were pretty short and not so fun. We also only did about 3 of the 6 adventures they mentioned as we ran out of time so it was not planned very good. The sky ram was fun an engaging and you learn many cool new things. Our tour guide was amazing.
This was a great tour and our tour guide Angie was superb. The zip lining was the highlight. The suspension bridge was barely a bridge - not a long trek across. My only complaint is for a rainforest there was a lack of animals. We were there all day and didn't see any monkeys or snakes or sloths, etc. We saw some toucans flying and the animals that were in enclosed areas like the butterflies, frogs, etc.
