We signed up for this tour only two days before it was scheduled to run and we had already arrived in Oaxaca. It was a little tricky completing the email confirmation process in that short of time. I wasn't sure if we were really confirmed. But ultimately I was able to phone the local tour company and get my final confirmation. If I hadn't been able to do that, I'm not sure that the tour guide would have shown up. Lesson: try to finalize your tour before you leave on your trip.
We had a great guide who spoke very good English and was very knowledgeable about the sites we saw. Since the three of us in my family were the only tour participants, he drove us in his very clean and comfortable sedan. He kept us on schedule, yet didn't hurry us. We learned so much and enjoyed it thoroughly!
Pickup at airport was fine and drivers to and from airport were very good also. However, we were told to meet a representative the day after arrival at noon to arrange return trip to the airport.We arrived and waited over 20 minutes but he never showed up.We left a message at the desk telling him this and when we needed returnthis was a private trip.Despite this fact,we still needed our resort concierge to call the day before to actually finalize the pickup arrangements.The final insult was the fact that the included VIP lounge was apparently not arranged and we had to spend 15 minutes with the lounge entrance peoplewith them making several calls before we were allowed entrance.We have used Viator several times previously but this was not a good experience - I realize that this was subcontracted to Maya Land tours but they failed to live up to Viatour standards.
I used this service before so I felt confident to use the service again only to be completely disappointed upon arrival. No one greeted me at the exit of the Cancun airport, after searching in the heat, I find out that they had to change my Mercedes vehicle to an UGLY VAN along with charging me over 125 for my child. The representative assured me that customer service would rectify the situation upon my return to the states. Its been a month and 2 phone calls later and no one has responded to ANY of my requests! I am a travel agent and i will never use or recommend viator again!!!!
On time and comfortable transportation to and from the airport. We were supposed to have access to the business lounge at the airport but this part never happened. This should be better explained or better directions given
I did not get what I asked and paid for. Instead of a vehicle suitable for four adults and their luggage, I was presented with a stretch limo, complete with flashing disco lights inside and out plus glaringly loud music. The experience was unpleasant.
Is one and a half hour wait too long to be delayed to start the tour? Exactly....POOR experience....things of value were rushed through, like cathedral at Petatlan. See a roof tile making operation? This was a joke, and I will not recommend it to you.

It was not as described, no shopping on the Al Aquin, didn't go to the market downtown. The tour was advertised as 5 hours, lasted maybe 2 1/2 only because we parked and walked to a beach overlook, which was a nice veiw, instead of going to one of the little shops the driver was going to take us to. We drove past it as he explained we were not stopping. Was supposed to be an english speaking tour and was not, luckily for my wife and I there was a nice guy that translated for us. The stop at Zicatela was also a drive through rather than visiting the shops.
Grayline are an excellent company, extremely prompt but i didnt get the VIP lounge access because Grayline representative told me to just go into the vip lounge and say that i am with grayline, which was a total lie because they didn't have my name .....As a transportation service, they are probably the best!!!
GREAT DRIVERS! Just walk out of the airport and avoid ANYONE who is not with Grayline tours. Fresh towel, water,rose for my wife,nice car and such a great package. Will be even better when lounge reopens.
