Everyone should try and see Machu Picchu. We found Viator to be professional and they made it extremely easy to book our entrance tickets. Many people will say not to bother staying in Machu Picchu Pueblo Aguas Caientes, but we disagree. One day is plenty but well worth the stay. Lots of great food and viewing areas. MAKE SURE you are lined up for the bus at least 40 minutes before departure. The line up early morning can be 5-6 blocks long. Even in heavy rain so if you want to be there for sunrise be really early. The locals call this area the eyebrow of the jungle so it is important to be prepared for rain, hot and chilly weather. The weather here can change in minutes.
Also,we stayed in Ollantaytambo for 3 days and it was a great experience. Quaint and beautiful town to relax and enjoy the friendly, easy going people, ruins and hikes. This little town is clean and has a surprising variety of restaurants with great food and friendly.
Safe and happy travels.
