Los Haitises and Cayo Levantado Day Trip from Puerto Plata | mei 2019
Our trip was canselled by operator. And they said that we would get full refund. We never got any refund. Nobody answered to my emails when I asked about that from them. I couldn't and won't recommend this operator to anyone.

Authentic Samana Tour: Beach and Waterfall Day Trip from Punta Cana | mrt 2018

This tour was great! Beautiful beach, waterfall and lovely horse tour. Papa George was our tour guide and he was great. I bought tea and honey to bring home and just tried it, so tasty.

Only downfall was the local contact trying to ensure everything was confirmed the day before, they never called back. I had to call three different numbers to try to confirm I was all set and wasted over an hour trying to get these numbers. If you like rum that really is the only alcohol option we had. Draft beer on the beach for just the hour we were there.

Waterfall and Plantation Tour from Samaná | feb 2018

The horsebacking riding tour and staff were amazing. They were very helpful to accommodate my friend and her special needs. The hike down to the falls can be strenuous, if you are out of shape. Beautiful waterfalls. Did not get to on the plantation tour, guide said not enough people and no guide.

Samaná Day Trip from La Romana | feb 2018

Horrible experience! From punctuality to poor service.
I was picked up 45 mins late with no apologies. There continental breakfast is white bread with processed ham in a baggy, a stale muffin and a boxed juice (the only decent thing). Did not even ride the horses as stated in the itinerary.

Blue Lagoon Tour from Puerto Plata | feb 2018

Extremely long day, but we knew that when we booked. What we didn't expect was that we were out for 11 hours, and at least 6 1/2-7 of those hours were driving around. Our guide gave us a bit of info/local history, but over all the drive was quiet with very little talking, no music.
The plantation was neat to see, however I was really turned off when the owner of the plantation flat out asked for money when he was done. I understand they work for tips...but pressuring for money is not right. The tour says there are drinks and lunch provided. We weren't even offered water until 4 hours into the drive. Lunch was ok at best, food wasn't the greatest, service was completely lousy, and when we inquired where the beer was that was supposed to be included, we were told that the 3 bottles that were provided were for all of us to share....all 14 of us?! If we wanted more were to buy it from the restaurant?!? This is not what the tour was supposed to offer and was extremely disappointing. The beaches were nice. The first beach there was an overwhelming amount of people continuously trying to sell us this, that or the other thing....took away from the nice location.
The blue lagoon which I thought was the main focus of this tour took all of 25-30 mins. It was absolutely beautiful and I enjoying seeing it, but it felt rushed so they could get the next boat out to do the loop.
The underground caves were great and we enjoyed this location and the staff were super friendly even though we don't speak much spanish, and they spoke no english - there was still respect. We purchased beers from this location and tipped the lady, due to the service we received. On the way back the guide offered us a drink of rum, with no pop or mix or anything. I don't drink rum like this yuck...
Overall long day of seeing beaches that weren't much different than the resort. Pretty terrible service almost all day. I personally feel it was not at all worth the amount we paid. Definitely disappointed and I wouldn't waste your money!

Santiago and Jarabacoa Day Trip from Puerto Plata | feb 2018

This was a panoramic view of the two cities. No time in Santiago to view much. Tour guide was proficient. It seems this tour was about visiting chocolate, ceramic and cigar factories. Would have enjoyed more city less factory.

I rated 5 stars, but I have to tell they changed the tour, and didn't tell us, so we haven't seen El Limón waterfall. What they showed us was beautiful, the tour was amazing, but I think they should have let us know, that they will change the trip.

We took the day long tour to visit...

Authentic Samana Tour: Beach and Waterfall Day Trip from Punta Cana | jan 2018

We took the day long tour to visit Samana island and El Limón Waterfall. We started at 6:15 morning from our hotel and after 20 minutes ride to a common point we boarded the bus and it took about 1 1/2 hours to reach the boarding point to boat. We traveled by boat for about 45 minutes fotunate to see a whale close to our boat and then transferred to Safari truck After 20 minutes ride in the truck we reached a ranch and then horse back riding fortunately I took the boots provided by the ranch company otherwise my shoes would have drenched in mud for another 30 minutes plus trekking for about 15 minutes finally we reached the water fall by noon. It was great getting into the water near the falls. On the way back we stopped for lunch before boat ride. The boat also made a stop at a beautiful beach and we were allowed to spend about an hour at the beach. We reached the hotel late in the evening by 8 pm. Overall it was a wonderful tour.

Good news
The ranch operator provides a guide for each horse and so we could ride safely though it was mud althrough the way.

Bad news
The tour operator recommended a video guy who was travelling with us and took the footage. But the DVD delivered to us the next day did not have any of our faces. So the amount paid 35 is a waste.

This was by far the BEST excursion I...

star-5Elizabeth M
Blue Lagoon Tour from Puerto Plata | dec 2017

This was by far the BEST excursion I have been on! Yes, it was a long day but it was well worth it! Our tour guide Rafael from CultourAll Excursions was spectacular.. not to mention he can speak fluently in 6 different languages to accommodate our diverse group. He picked us up promptly at our hotel and driving through the cities provided information about the island and the people and the culture. We started our tour by going to a fruit plantation where we walked through the multitude of fruit trees, eating off of them along the way, learning about how they grow, harvest and sell the fruit, cacao and coffee. The plantation provided more samples of the fruit and cacao and the cacao covered bananas... mmmmmmm!

Then, we drove more through town to a dock where we got on a little motorized boat, slowly wandered through the water through mangroves until we hit the open water and enjoyed the hot sun while making our way past celebrity vacation homes to a really cool swallow cave for a short site. Then, the boat veered to a 'natural pool' where we could jump off the boat into the crystal clear ocean water to cool off for maybe 15 or 20 minutes.

Off to the first beach we go and it was GORGEOUS! Smooth, silky sand, crystal blue waters and definitely bring your snorkel gear! Lots of fish and little creatures to see if you like to snorkel. After about an hour and a half, we got back on the bus to go to our second beach... same thing... beautiful! On the bus, Rafael poured us some drinks.. rum and coke of course as we headed for our lunch buffet... which was super yummy... choices of salad, Dominican fried chicken, fish in a red sauce which was my favorite, rice, beans, plantains, fried yucca.

Then to the Blue Lagoon which is located in this serene family park with beautiful flowers and pretty secluded. There is a cliff where you can pay 1.00 to cruise down the zip line into the middle of the blue lagoon... total adrenaline rush if you are into that.. which I am! You sign a waiver, put a life vest on, hold on the zip line and away you go! They blow a whistle when you need to drop and make sure.. I repeat MAKE SURE you do a pencil drop because if you do not land feet first, you WILL probably get hurt. And be careful if you film with a go-pro, the impact of water may damage it. We jumped with one but we held it on the impact and it was fine.

Then a short walk to this smaller blue water cave for a casual swim. Little fish and shrimp to see if you snorkel. Then one last beautiful beach for an hour before the ride home during the early stages of the sunset.

I would suggest bringing a towel, snorkel gear, camera, go-pro, water shoes, extra money in case you want to buy a souvenir or cigar or coffee or cacao or tipping the tour guide. The only negative thing were the hustlers at the beach trying to get you to buy things but that happens everywhere.

Super great experience and I would recommend this to everyone! Thank you to Rafael for making this excursion so great! I cant wait to come back and do it all over again!

Highly recommend this trip. Although it is a very long ride for Punta Cana to the boat, everything else was great. Met lots of locals and had plenty of time at the waterfall. All the workers and tour guides were awesome.

Long tour! But worth it. It took...

Samaná Peninsula Day Trip from Puerto Plata | jul 2017

Long tour! But worth it. It took about 3-4 hours to get from Puerto Plata to Semana. They make bathroom stops along the way to Semana. We went to the mountain side area and were provided a variety of things to taste and try like fruit, coffee, cocoa, sweet potatoes, sugar, honey and tea. Everything they gave us was delicious. The people there were informative, warm and kind. The tour guide was really informative about the different things we were being introduced to. We took a jitney truck up the mountainside which was cool. At this location you are able to buy things from them and we definitely did because everything was delicious. They aren't pushy at all there and make you feel like you are at home. The second stop was El Limon waterfall. You take a horse up to El Limon and then you have to walk. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND getting their boots so you don't get your shoes dirty from mud and horse poo. Some of the guides don't speak English. They are generally nice though but there are a lot of people at El Limon and horseback riding to El Limon. Wear comfortable shoes that won't slip when you walk because you will be doing a lot of walking. Make sure you take some cash to tip the people who walk the horses through the mud as you ride it. El Limon is breathtaking and is the highlight of the trip. The restaurant we went to after was decent but the food could be better. The chicken was good. The rice was okay. The spaghetti was terrible. The location of the restaurant was nice. The waiters there are really attentive. Samana is beautiful. We took a boat from there to Bacardi island which was really nice but we were only there for a short time. Like an hour or so. I wish this was a little longer. The entire tour including pick up and drop off at the hotel was about 16 hours. Again, it is a long long tour but definitely worth it! I would highly recommend it!
There is a gentleman who was taking pictures the entire tour. I asked the tour guide how much the pictures were at the beginning of the tour and he said 25 dollars. However, at the end of the tour when I purchased the pictures, the gentleman taking the pictures charged about 35-40 dollars. We didn't know why there was a change but didn't bother asking as we just wanted the pictures and we wanted to relax.

Quite simply the poorest value for money day trip that one can imagine.
I'm a simple Pearson, ham and cheese kind a guy. But my expectations for this trip were high. Food provided was awful, cold, uncovered, swarmed with flies, "horse" back ride was a torture for the animals, tour guide was lovely tho.
