We took this tour back in May 2017. It was fantastic!! This was the highlight of my vacation while in Singapore. We were picked up from our hotel and took off on a private tour. We had expected to be with a group of people, but having a private experience was so memorable. We got to ask all the questions we wanted and just felt super special by being escorted around an unfamiliar place.
We learned so much about the rich Malaysian culture. I am a huge history and economics buff, and Albert went over and above on teaching us the history of Malacca and Malaysia as a whole. Seeing the Straits of Malacca the busiest strait int he world was so cool! We also got to eat authentic food that I still crave to this day.
You will not be let down by booking this tour. So worth it! ASK FOR ALBERT AND CHRISTOPHER!!
THOSE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS AND WE BEEN TOLD THAT THEY ARE NOT IN BUSINESS ANY LONGER. As instructed by the Viator, we contacted Travel Delightfully Pte Ltd at: 65 8282-1312 as soon as we arrived to Singapore HOWEVER NOBODY ANSWERED. We went to the Harbourfront ferry terminal and searched for our guide just to be told by the staff working there: I never heard of that company. Let me search for your names/information. After the worker searched and spoke to her co-workers she stated that they believe that, that company is out of business. I continue to call company until the day I left Singapore 2-21-18 and NOBODY EVER RESPONDED TO ME. Viator never let us down BUT this time we just encountered HORROR in Malaysia and Singapore - THE WORST TRIP EVER!!!!
Good driver Chris picked us up on time and got us to Malacca quickly. Albert our guide was knowledgable and friendly and gave a great commentary. The rickshaw ride was a good surprise and the meal was worthwhile.
All in all an enjoyable time
Did not do this tour...operator switched everything around
My husband and I were the only individuals on this tour as others had attended the Friday. The driver and initial guide in Singapore were great as was the guide in Malacca but it felt rushed and we did not feel that we got a real view of what Malacca had to offer. The guide in Malacca did ensure that we received all the experiences we paid for. Lunch was superb!
This tour is probably better in a group and not a small party but still worth doing.
Overall I enjoyed the day trip to Malacca but a few changes would've made it even better. I would have enjoyed longer to look around the town, rather than spending the majority of the time in the museums with our guide. I also would have appreciated an earlier stop to have something to eat and drink as we were picked up at the hotel at 7:00am and then didn't have lunch until about 2:00pm. Our guide was very knowledgeable but didn't seem to gauge how the group was feeling. I really enjoyed the trip down the river at the end of the day which wasn't originally included in the trip but I think it should be as it was a real highlight. Expect a long commute back to Singapore ... it took us approx. 4 hours so we didn't arrive back at our hotel until about 8:00pm. Overall definitely worth it though.
This was a really great experience. The local operator Travel Delightfully and guide were excellent and the entire day went smoothly. I really appreciated the local operator's responsive communication right from the point of booking, including rescheduling my booking for another day to avoid long lines at immigration. I would book this trip again if returning to Singapore.
This was a fun day full of activity. The local operator Travel Delightfully was very accommodating regarding my individual needs and was in close contact with me from the point of booking. The entire day went according to plan and I saw and did a lot. A great way to introduce oneself to Bintan. I would book this trip again if returning to Singapore.
If you want a well organised tour with majestic sights then this might not be for you. If you are looking for something more gritty, to see how Indonesian people live, something similar to the amazing race, then it might be for you. We arrived in Batam at the Ferry terminal and there was no tour guide. We soon found another couple looking for the same tour. We approached the Ferry booking counter who had contact details for the company who had booked our tour. 30 minutes later a teenage boy arrived in a car and took us to a temple. He explained he was not a tour guide, but drove us very fast dodging cars and bikes to our first stop which was a temple worth visiting. Here we were met by a tour guide and semi luxurious bus/van. We were then asked what we were expecting to see as the guide had no view of what we had been promised on line. We were told we had to see the bridge, which the Indonesians are very proud of their most iconic man made structure and connects the islands together. Then a Vietnamese village where we fed bananas to 'wild' monkeys, which was very cool and highlight of the day. The chocolate shop was just a chocolate shop. The layer cake factory was very interesting. The cultural show was off, then very easy to do, then off again as they were on holiday, then on again if we paid 15 total between 4 of us. The show was good. A buffet lunch in an ostentatious hotel with Javanese food was a mixture of some very nice dishes and some that were hard to know what they were. Some very spicy. We then convinced the guide to take us to a factory outlet store and a shopping mall instead of going for the one hour massage. Best buys were 5 t-shirts for 10, and some quality jeans for 19. All in all it was a good day, made special by the genuinely lovely local people, the guide who worked so hard to make it a good day for us, and being with another couple who were very positive in the midst of the chaos and uncertainty of the trip.
We took an enjoyable and comfortable trip to Malacca Melaka. It was interesting to learn about its history and significance of the Chinese, English, Dutch and Portuguese influence on Malacca's development. There are many places in Malacca to prove their presence.
Food we were able to order for lunch at one of the local restaurants was tasty and at inexpensive. Christopher and Albert our two guides made our experience worth doing.

This tour is packed with activities and sites of Malacca. Our tour guide was exceptional, knowledgeable and friendly. The mini-van is a long way from Singapore - almost 4 hours each way - but worth it if you have only one day to visit Malaysia.
Very fun day, really enjoyed it, especially feeding the monkeys. My only recommendation would be for the tour guy to tell more about the history of Batam and the places we saw. And the chocolate shop should be optional, as a person who does not eat chocolate to me it was a waste of time. Other than that everything was great, we had a great time.
Our driver was sitting in front of the hotel, 10 minutes before pick up time. She also upgraded our attraction ticket from 3 activities to unlimited...It was a great bonus!!
Pick up time was much earlier, and time wasted at irrelevant tour other than fireflies.
Rip offf-Pathetic communication
This pass is only available for certain activities and has no coomunication done by the travel agent till he driver comes to pick up at the hotel. Wrong information and misleading. The pass could be used however as an entry pass an free for some activities such as Luge ridwe and sky drive, 4D log ride which we didn't want to take but had to since they were the free ones. We opted for 3 activity pass and it was a rip off. Never get this pass without knowing what other charges are hidden and charged by sentosa separately.
