De watervallen en het uitzicht vanaf daar waren prachtig. De wandeling was verrassend steil, maar de gids was erg goed en hij maakte de klim gemakkelijk (maar het vereist een vrij goede fysieke conditie). De chauffeur kwam ons ophalen bij het hotel en de rit van Le Morne naar de watervallen was een kronkelige weg met prachtig uitzicht en de chauffeur stopte ook zodat we het uitzicht konden fotograferen wat leuk was. Zou deze reis aanbevelen!

My wife Chiara Stanton-Marangoni and I, Gabriele Marangoni, booked the above excursion from the UK before our holiday in Mauritius.
I would like to report several serious issues we had with this tour today.
The excursion, described as a full day tour lasted from 8am till 1pm only.
No 3 course meal as agreed was provided.
We finished the excursion at 11.30 and then the taxi to pick us up showed up after 1 hr at 12.30 and we were left waiting on a tarmac road with no shade.
The guide called David was atrocious.
He did not speak almost all time and seemed to not care at all.
We tried to get in touch with the local agency but the guide refused and said his battery was flat (at 11.30 am).
At 12.30 a guy came to pick us up and then once in the car he said he was not the driver but he will bring us to the driver.
He took a “short cut” as he said. We were worried he would take us to a secluded place and take our money/phones and leave us stranded. Fortunately that was not the case and a proper driver eventually brought us back to the hotel.
To summarise we want our excursion full fee to be refunded given the obvious lies about the tour and the stress we had to endure.

The hike was quite a challenging one - and was well organised from pickup to drop off. The hike was well worth the effort, as the views were delightful, be warned - the guide does move quite quickly!

It's a beautiful spot and worth the effort but it's definitely on the more physically demanding side of a hike. Younger fit people should have no real issue but for older even fit-ish people it's a bit of a slog. It would really help to have a guide on what to take but definitely good shoes , water , insect repellant and Sun block. They do supply water but forgot to give it to us and we thought the guide would have it. There's a pretty steep decent to start the hike and it's all rocks roots and trees. A couple of short but steep climbs are involved. Our guide David was very quiet unlike the other guides we encountered and that's cost them a star. But we're not sorry we did it. About 3-4 hours all up and you can move at your own pace. BTW we loved the local food supplied

The tour was perfectly guided by Daryeau who gave a lot of interesting information about the region and local plants as well as inside information about the falls.

7 Cascades hike with the best guide there could be- Doryeau Ramalingum! We were a bit worried because there were so many mixed reviews on this hike ( that it was difficult etc) - thankfully we did this and Daryeau was definitely amazing. He is so fond of sharing his knowledge on Mauritius, indigenous plants, medicinal and culinary purposes of plants and he guided us so well throughout all the trip. We had booked via Viator website and this included lunch which Daryeau kindly prepared for us homemade ©. We didnt find the hike as difficult as we thought it would be so I would definitely recommend this especially with Doryeau!

The hike itself was nice, but the added value was overall low. Aside of actually guiding our way, we didnt get much useful/extra information from the guide. Also, i wouldnt call what we got as 3 course lunch - it was just a quick snack.

The guide Daryus was amazing, nice and helpful! The place is really wonderful, immersive in the nature of Mauritius. Take with you your trekking shoes as the way it is tricky to climb. Take your swim suit as you can swim under the waterfalls. Really recommended!

Our guide Daryeau was very good and also has an enormous wealth of knowledge on flora and fauna. We tasted black pepper and was given may uses for different plants.
We'd utilise his services again if ever in Mauritius and would highly recommend. The swim in the waterfall towards the bottom was refreshing and something I'd never experienced before.
Our lunch was homemade and was very tasty consisting of roti and samosa.
This tour is advertised as moderate capability, I would suggest that its more challenging than that. Its a steep descent over boulders and rough terrain and climbing back up is challenging. Thoroughly enjoyable just a little challenging!

Had a brilliant time on this tour. Our guide Daryeau was a great guide. We felt very safe even though some parts of the hike were a bit challenging. He also told us lots of interesting information about the local wildlife. It was a bit cold for swimming, but we took plenty of time enjoying the stunning scenery, the fish pedicure and a delicious Mauritian lunch.
My only issue is with Viator (hence 4 stars) as we paid significantly more to book this tour because it was listed as a full day hike rather than the other half day tours. However, this was only 4 hours long so we got a bit ripped off!
We booked Daryeau for a separate hike of Le Morne, which was fantastic again!
