We had a full day in Vancouver after disembarking from a cruise and wanted to see as much as possible. This tour was perfect! We were picked up at the cruise terminal with our luggage stored in the van until we were dropped off at our hotel at the tour's end. Our tour driver/guide, Meagan, was knowledgeable, personable, and humorous. Our group of seven sightseers was the ideal size, while the van was the perfect mode. Adequate time was given at each stop to look around without feeling rushed, and there was a generous lunch stop with many places to choose from. We saw many Vancouver sights, and feel like we got a good look at the city's highlights. I would highly recommend this tour!
My wife and I traveled to Vancouver aboard a Princess Cruise. It was our first time visiting Vancouver and we wanted to make the most of our day there. The cruise line did not really have any excursions that drew our interest. We wanted to see as much of the cities highlights as we could in our short stay. I found this tour after a Google search. The price was very reasonable and it hit the major attractions I had been reading about. My only reservation about booking was the fact that the listing mentioned the Pick-Up locations was at the Hotel where you were staying. Luckily, I took a chance and booked it thinking I'd worry about that later. I was immediately contacted by the tour company and we arranged for us to be picked up right at the cruise ship port. Super easy! Our tour guide was Megan. If you have the chance to request her, do it! She is very knowledgeable, extremely friendly and made the whole day a true pleasure. She hits you with some corny jokes throughout the day but they grow on us and we found our self laughing along with the groans. I will also say that she obviously knows her way around the big city and is an excellent driver. We loved all the stops on this tour and there were many. We spent a lot of time in the bus but it didn't feel like it because we stopped so frequently. We really appreciated that. We enjoyed them all but our favorite stops were the Capilano Suspension Bridge and the Granville Island Public Market. Stanley Park is beautiful and there are a lot of great thing to see and learn about as we toured through the park. My only slight disappointment in the tour was that we didn't have nearly enough time to experience Granville Island the way we would have liked. We only had about an hour and I think we could have had 2 hours and it not be enough time. If we ever get back to Vancouver, we will plan at least a half day there. Another place we would like to spend a bit of time would be the Gastown area. We drove through there at the end of the day but I think we would like to walk it someday.Overall, we couldn't be happier with our choice of tours. We would highly recommend this tour for anyone wishing to hit all the highlights, especially first time visitors. -Brad from California
Really did enjoy this tour- picked up at the cruise terminal (up stairs- they find you upstairs outside Canada Place)- with your luggage and drop you at your hotel at the tours end. We had Brandon as our driver/ guide and he was a very pleasant fellow- did a good tour- really feel oriented afterwards and saw some amazing sites. Would highly recommend after your Alaska cruise- takes all day so works well if your flight is late evening or next day. Also this was a bus but a short bus so not tons of people.
Vancouver tour- reviewI took multiple tours in Vancouver and area. I saw a lot on a beautiful day. We got to see much more of this city than we would have on our own. The cost of the tour included entrance fees..A very efficient way to see the major sights of Vancouver. We began at lookout, stopped at Stanley Park, Prospect point, Public Market(excellent lunch Vthere),China town, Yale town. We went from city to wilderness in a matter of minutes. We ended the tour at Capilano bride . Walking over the bridge, visiting the fish hatchery was a bonus for us.Our tour guide was Alessio from Landsea loco tour company. Very comprehensive, knowledgeable guide/driver, excellent value. We definitely want him again , when I return with my family
Tour was really, really good. Saw the many sites of Vancouver, including downtown, Capilano Suspension Bridge, Stanley Park, Granville Island, Vancouver Tower. A real good look at the city in approx. 7 hours. Our tour guide, Graham, was wonderful. Very professional, VERY informative, and really friendly. Great tour. I would recommend it to everyone visiting Vancouver for the first time, or if haven't been there for a while, tour city again.
Wonderful city highlights: Granville island, Stanley Park, suspension bridge and more!
If you want to get a good glimpse of Vancouver in 7 hours, this is a tour for you.
The tour started a bit late with the pick up from Richmond around 9am. The driver transferred us to Vancouver downtown to meet with the rest of the people in the tour. I think total 24-30 ppl.
Official start of the tour was around 10:15am. Grant was our tour guide and driver for the day, hes friendly, funny and caring, we were pretty happy to have him since we had another tour with another company the day before and the guide gave little info and engagement, the contrast was very much welcomed!
A tip for those of you who care to take pictures from the bus during the tour, sit on the passenger side, not the driver side. A lot more good views and photo ops.
Drove through a bunch of neighborhoods, first stop at Granville island public market. Got a little over an hour to explore. Great market with fresh produces, lots of food vendors and unique local stores. The waterfront view was idyllic, grab a coffee or a plate and enjoy! It was one of the highlights of our trip!
We tried the German sausages Bratwurst the best, Blue Parrot organic coffee and their London Fog, a British milk tea, quite special and nice! We spent most of our time in the market and the waterfront, if you care to check out more stores, you have to budget your time accordingly.
The next stop was the Look out. The panoramic view of the city was great! We then made a short stop at Stanley Park. A bit like Central Park in New York but greener and cleaner. The salmon hatchery, hmm maybe its not the right season? Didnt feel like a touristy spot, very low profile and educational.
Finally its the big attraction, Capilano suspension bridge! It was crowded, every step on the bridge was covered by the person in front and behind. When the whole bridge is covered by people, and everyone just walk step by step, its hard to appreciate how long and scary its supposed to be. That said, its still a good experience, to see the park, to do the treetop and cliff walk, just not as dramatic as it should have been should there be less people. We had I think 1 hour 45 min there, managed to have a bit of time left to enjoy some ice cream.
Warning: everything at the park is really expensive, e.g. 7 CAD for tiny 2 scoops of ice cream. So fill yourself up at Granville island market, and get water there too.
We wrapped up at Prospect point, a nice lookout at Stanley Park. Gorgeous weather, a perfect way to end a great tour!
Throughout the journey, Grant was careful with his driving, thoughtful with the arrangements, kept us entertained with his jokes. He gave good background and history of each location, which helped enrich our tour experience.
Thank you for a good time! Will recommend! :
We booked this tour since we had 15 hours to kill between cruise ship arrival and plane departure. So 7 hours seeing Vancouver seemed like a good way to pass the time. Alexandra is a knowledge guide who clearly has great pride in her city. We enjoyed seeing so many of the sites, especially the Capilano Bridge. The price was quite fair given that it included admission to the bridge, the tower elevator and transportation to the airport for our departure, not to mention a full day of driving us around with complete narration! Our only issue was too much time seemed to be spent in parks. We would have preferred a bit more time on Granville Island and perhaps a stop in Chinatown (rather than a drive thru).
