What an amazing day in Athens. We paid for 4 hours however our driver gave us an extra two hours free of charge although we gave her a really good tip :. She took us to all of the high lights of Athens as well as those that you would not normally see such as the changing of the guard. She recommended a place for authentic food which as also outstanding. I cannot say enough about our experience with our driver as well as the company.
Best Tour EVER!!!!! Sarafin was prompt and was so thorough. I was not feeling well and he even offered to re-schedule. I am so glad that I did not re-schedule. We enjoyed the best day imaginable in Athens.
The vehicle was very nice mercedes benz I thinkI can't imagine that going on the official tours would be better than this. We started our day at the Acropolis. Before we got out of the car Sarafin prepared us with information on exactly where to go and gave us the history behind what we would see here. Every instruction provided was perfect.
We saw every major tourist attraction and more. What we really loved was how he was able to give us the Greek citizen perspective on everything. The personal touches like having cold water and snacks for us, taking us to off the beaten path sights, etc was so amazing. He advised on how much a taxi ride back to our hotel should be from the major shopping district and all of his advise was so helpful. He even gave us advise on the best place to have dinner overlooking the acropolis at night. This was a private tour at its best. If you go to Athens, be sure to check out Sarafin.
We didn't have much time but wanted to see as much as we could of Athens. This was the perfect way!
We were picked up after breakfast with our bags and went straight to the Acropolis then Temple of Olympian Zeus, Panathenaic Stadium, Parthenon and the Changing of the Guard. Our guide was amazing and let us pick up 2 friends who we didn't know were in Athens until the time for the rest of our time. We went to Mount Lycabettus and then had some lunch in town. Next she took us to the airport.
A great half day tour and delivered right to where we needed to be. No hassle, great information if we wanted it, cold drinks and a smiling face : Thank you!
We only had a day and a half in Athens and this half-day tour absolutely made the most of it! Serafim, our driver and tour guide not officially but SO knowledgeable, was absolutely amazing. He communicated well via WhatsApp, picked us up in clean and comfortable Mercedes taxi, was so informative about the city's history and culture, took the best photos, and was so kind and fun! He made sure we had a snack mid-day DELICIOUS pastries we weren't able to find again and still crave and gave us the BEST lunch recommendation. We visited the key sites in Athens, and he made sure to plan around crowds as best he could. It was a great day we will always have very fond memories of.
Serafim - We truly appreciate everything. If you're ever in Los Angeles, you know how to get in touch!
This was the highlight of our trip to Athens. We had Chrisoula as our driver and although she is not officially a tour guide, she was an amazing tour guide. She asked us if we wanted to go to anyplace in particular and we said take us to all of the best places. We saw so much and learned so much about the history of the city all in about 5 hours. Chrisoula drove us back to the hotel and pointed out an awesome restaurant near our hotel with great prices and delicious food. We ate there later in the evening and had a truly enjoyable day. We heard from many different people in Athens about all of the hardships the people of Greece have been through since 2009. We asked Chrisoula many questions about the comments we had heard from people and she was honest and without negativity. She was a champion for Greece and Athens. She loves the city and shares it with visitors. Chrisoula was an absolute delight to have as our driver and I would like to thank her for introducing us to the beauty and history of the city of Athens.
Viator called Spiros at 7 AM the day of our tour and he was on time at nine. It rained with lightening and thunder, but Spiros still gave us an incredible tour! We visited all the fabulous sites in Athens including museums, ancient sites and food stops too! While my husband hiked to the top of the acropolis In thunder, rain and lightening, Spiros sat in the cafe to keep this old lady company and answer all of my questions and share some food. The entire tour was worth every penny and more. We gave a generous tip which our tour guide said was too much but it was just right! Ask for Spiros, as he is just an incredible tour guide, knowledgeable, kind, generous friendly and loves his country! Thank you for a great tour of Athens!
The driver, Bobis, was excellent. He showed us several spots of interest and drove us to places we suggested as well and was available to extend our time at the prearranged rate. There were 6 of us and we were very comfortable in the van. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone interested in seeing Athens for the first time.
This was perfect for us and my husband and I highly recommend this tour! We were fortunate enough to get Serafim, the manager, as our driver/guide. He picked us up at our hotel with a warm smile, a can-do attitude and right on time. Basically, there was nothing he wouldn't do for us! We explained that this was our first visit to Athens and we were leaving on a cruise the next day. We also discussed some health issues that would cause limitations on what we could do. He didn't miss a beat. Had suggestions, ideas and gave us options. Serafim is extremely knowledgeable and happy to share his country's history with visitors...but in a fun and light way. We had an exceptional experience and saw things and areas only the locals would know. We are new to Viator.com but have had great experiences, highly personalized and designed with and for us. Serafim is wonderful and he made our tour of Athens very memorable! Thank you, Serafim!
