Great Experience!

Long ride. Driver is knowledgeable! You need to have some snack on the journey, although there will be some stops to cafe's but it is rather expensive.
A quick, but outstanding day

A real nice experience, with a lot of history and also breathtakings landscapes at the highlands. Also, our guide Kenny were a nice driver and gave usa a lot of information about the Scotland history. It’s a must do trip!
Enjoyable day

This tour is long but if u want to see the beauty of the highlands- it covers it a lot. The castle was interesting and the boot ride nice. Our guide Paul was fun and very informative. There r numerous stops but the time does fly- if u r interested in learning about Scottish history.
Long trip to see the Lake Ness (Loch Ness)

If you are somebody who does not mind exploring new places through the glass of the bus window, then please disregard this review. It is very difficult for me to rate this trip for the following reasons: - The gentlemen who were leading our group (the guide David and the driver Mark) were very precise, punctual, and professional. David was very knowledgable about the places we were passing and made sure to entertain us on this long trip. So, from this perspective all was good! - However, it took us 6 hours to drive from Edinburgh to Loch Ness, which I would not mind except I thought we would stop at Glencoe and some more places in the Highlands. Instead, it felt like we were rushing through. It is very difficult to see ruins here on the right and abbey there on the left and this and that when all these important places just fly by behind the window and you are trying to look over the heads of people next and in front of you. I only wish we had some more stops or at least a couple for a few minutes to explore or look at these castles from a bit closer. If nothing else, it would have been good at least to slow down and reduce the speed when passing by the places David was mentioning in his stories (once again, thank you, David, you were great!). So, I would say that this was more of an organization issue for me. I guess I was expecting a bit more than just 30 minutes on a boat and 30 min in Urquart castle after 6 hour one-way drive.
Do not take go on this tour!

This tour should be called Loch Ness tour with bus stops along the way. We only drove through Glencoe and The Highlands (still not sure if we even went to these places) and stopped once for 4 minutes at a scenic place to take pictures. The rest of the stops were at gross gas stations and I had a bag of stale chips for lunch. All the buses stop at the same places so the lines are so long and there's barely anytime to get food. The Loch Ness boat ride is about 14 minutes long on a boat with 500 other people and you can't hear any of the facts they are playing over a speaker. Our tour guide was awful and so rude. He talked about himself most of the time and I didn't learn one thing on the tour. Overall pretty horrible experience but you get what you pay for! The only good part were the two cows Honey & Hamish at the first stop, so I guess take with that what you will!

This tour was everything I wanted. The tour itself was offered through Timberbush. Nice, new coach. Danny was our tour guide. A lovely man - so happy we got him! The day is long. You can pack snacks - which I encourage - just no ‘hot food’ on the coach. Place they stop for lunch is sub par cafeteria food.
not exactly what I imagined!

the tour guide was very nice and knowledgeable but the drive was very long. I suggest this tour only if you are in Edinburgh for at least 1 week when the weather is nice and not cold and windy. otherwise it is a waste of time and money especially in cold weather. Nothing to see. the castle and boat ride are boring and there is extra charge for both. there is nothing else to do if you don't want to do the boat and the castle. Just the long drive!
Nice journey.

Fraser, our guide was very professional, talking slowly and distinctly so that we could easily understand his explanations. Journey was just fine with regular stops.
Interesting but too long

We had an excellent driver who was informative, humorous and very pleasant...that was the best part. Unfortunately we did not know or expect rains all the time in the highlands - should have done our home work. It is one of the items in my bucket list...completed.
