Euan A. was a fantastic guide - a great combination of humor, history, and trivia, along with a healthy dose of Scottish pride. Kudos to him!
Lovely tour!

This was a really fun tour - strongly recommended! Our guide Andy was great - he told fabulous stories about Mary Queen of Scots, William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and various historical events. I already heard some of these facts before, but Andy made them so much more interesting. Even my teenagers were captivated! Stirling Castle was wonderful, the exhibits were entertaining and informative, there were things for children to do and we even got to hear a Scottish band play in the gardens. Then we were off to Loch Lomond, which was very pretty and had a nice little walk. Gorgeous views. Lunch was in Aberfoyle village - the local meat pies and birdies in the deli were great! Finally, the distillery tour was lovely - very interesting and the whiskeys were great! We all enjoyed this tour very much!

We had a fantastic tour with Heart of Scotland (via Viator). Graham, our host for the day, was really great. He had a great commentary during the drive with music and great photo stops. We loved the tour of the Glengoyne distillery and Loch Lomond was beautiful. Great day and fab customer service.

It was a good tour, our driver was really great and a good story teller !We were really disapointed by Stirling Castle (outside is nice but inside... empty and too modern)The lunch stop was pretty short (only 1h to order, get served, eat and go back to the bus) but we appreciated that we had the choice of the restaurant.Loch Lomond is okay (It was raining which is no help) but if you do not enjoy speed walks I would recommand you to do the short walk only. The distillery was interesting. The return point was different from the departure point and we did not get noticed, which we did not appreciate.

Stirling Castle was packed full of history...Robert the Bruce, Mary Queen of Scots & Lord Darnley, and more. The grounds and vista's were beautiful. Loved hearing the history of Stirling Bridge and how William Wallace defeated the British there. His huge monument is stunning and it's very fitting for him to have the tallest monument to a single person in history. The views and walk around Loch Lomand were so beautiful. I loved it! Also loved feeding carrots to the Scottish long haired cows. Dessert came at the end with a trip to the whiskey distillery. Very interesting to see how it's produced. Also want to mention how knowledgeable and entertaining our driver Angela was. She went the extra mile and the bus was very comfy. Definitely would recommend.
Okay Day

Nice little day trip, and we enjoyed getting out of Edinburgh to explore the surrounding areas, but the time spent at Stirling Castle (90 minutes) barely let us scratch the surface, and the entry fee was $20 per person. Then spent way too long (in our opinion) at Loch Lomond, where there's not much to do. Enjoyed Glengoyne Distillery. Would suggest extending the time at Stirling, a briefer stop for lunch at Loch Lomond, and including the entry fees to the castle and the distillery.

My Husband really enjoyed the nature walk too. We highly recommend this tour! When we return to Scotland; we will be using Viator again!
