Jamal is probably the best tour guide we have ever had! He is so knowledgeable about the area- he made a very long trip go by so fast! The Atlas Mountain ride was spectacular. Jamal made several stops so we could take pictures, rest and have food and drinks. The restaurant he brought is to was excellent with beautiful views and delicious food. Jamal is so professional and polite- the best guide you could ask for!

Great tour guide sharing his knowledge. Itinerary was perfect and lunch was spectacular with an awesome view of Atlas Mountains in background. This is a worthwhile tour if you have some free time in Marrakech.

This is a great tour if your schedule is tight. During Summer the day is long so the tour can last longer. Ahmed, our guide and driver was amazing, he was very patient with us while we were touring the studios and visiting Kasbat Ait Benhaddou. We did not feel the road or the time while driving there and coming back to Marrakesh. We stopped when necessary for food and a break and he stopped for us to get beautiful pictures. He also took us to trusted places to shop when needed, and he recommended to take the shesh/shall to cover our heads which was a brilliant idea considering the hot weather in Ouarzazate.

Nice way to spend a day outside of Marrakech away from the extreme heat and crowded streets. Our guide was helpful, inforamative and committed to our spending a good day. The Movie studios were marginally interesting, Ait Ben was a great example of Kasbahs of old. Interesting to see the topography.

Our driver Mostapha was friendly, chatty and informative. The trip itself was interesting and effortless but he made it much more enjoyable.

This was a long 13 hours but fascinating trip. Abdoul, our driver, spoke perfect English, and as he drove, talked about the mountains, local flora and fauna, the Berbers, and comparisons of life in a Berber village and Marrakech. We learned a lot, and saw a lot. We especially enjoyed Ait Benhaddou, seeing women processing argon nuts in the mountains, and the changing environment. As we were the only two people taking the tour Abdoul asked us what our interests were and then organised the day to suit us. Consequently, not being film buffs, we didn't visit Ouarzazate instead we saw more of the countryside around the mountains. It was an enjoyable trip, but it was tiring and took the entire day, and I wouldn't recommend it unless you are planning to spend several days in Marrakech.

The main reason I went on this trip was to see a bit of the Atlas mountains and Ait Benhaddou. This meet my expectations. I got to see part of the Atlas mountains in stunning views and go to see the desert on the other side at a fairly reasonable price. I have already been to Tangiers, Rabat, Fes, Marrakesh, Casa Blanca, Meknes and a handful of other places in Morocco mostly without guides. But in general: Manage your expectations and read up on the sites before you go. Guides can be hit or miss and companies rotate through 5 or 6 guides for a given trip to spread the work and to make sure there is always someone, so quality may drop because there is a new person in the rotation. This is a day trip. Expect around 12 hours on this trip. Each way due to mountain roads and traffic will be about 4 to 4:30 hours. Make sure to buy any souvenirs on the way out to Ouarzazate because all the shops will be closed on your way back. You will get about one hour in Ouarzazate and about 2 hours in Ait Benhaddou to eat and see it. Prices at the cafes in Ait Benhaddou were reasonable for a tourist trap. My guide, Abdul, spoke fluent French and English. Which was great because I need some French practice. But he mostly spoke English for the other travelers. He will not guide you through the sites when you arrive, but he did give realistic times for spending at the places had to ask him. You are going to have to pay more for a better package for that. He drove very well in the mountains, safely passing. He explained lot of little details for the other passengers. We made short stops along to way out Ait Benhaddou and Ouarzazate in order to see some views and he explained some of the berber culture and other background information. He also gave tips like fair prices for some of the stuff to buy. He did not push or drop us at any stores or shops to be harassed by vendors this is way too common in Morocco, but every stop was for a view the place on the tour.
