Our guide was wonderful and we learned a lot about the history of the French Quarter. We were however, taken into back rooms for food tasting which left much to be desired when walking through beautiful patios and dining rooms.

Beautiful day starting in the French Market. Tour group was a nice size of approx. 12 people. Visited Café Du Mond to see the benets being made, but unfortunately didn't get to sample one did that the next day ourselves. Then off to TuJacques for some red beans and rice. Laura's for a tasty sampling and praline treat. The last three stops I didn't get the names of the restaurants but we had a PoBoy, muffuletta, and shrimp and cheesy grits. All stops were very tasty and took us to places that we wouldn't have thought of trying. Our tour guide was informative and it was a nice walk at a good pace so put on your comfortable shoes. Glad to have done this tour and will definitely do this in other cities while on vacation.

This tour is a must. I learned a great deal about the origin of the local foods and their various differences. I also learned a bit more about the city as well.

Bruce was a fabulous tour guide, deeply knowledgeable about the history, culture and food of New Orleans, and extremely friendly. There’s no way to do justice to New Orleans food in just five locations, but our stops were all delicious

This tour was the highlight of our stay in NOLA. Richard, our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the history of the city. He selected excellent restaurants to stop at for generous samples of authentic New Orleans food. He also gave us tips for the rest of our stay that we used and loved

The tour itself was not bad, enjoyed walking around the French Quarter...that said, the offerings lacked flavor not the guides fault. Now, my biggest pet peeve, Linda the tour guide left little to be desired. I can see how it could be presumed that she is knowledgeable...I am not sure if it is lack of knowledge or she just doesn't care, but she had a specific slant on how she described the origins of certain foods and the history of the Quarter. I found her to be disingenuous and seemed more interested in talking about herself and what property she owned, failed food network audition, etc. It is my understanding that her husband does a wonderful job he popped in and did seem to be warm. If I had to do it again, would I? Nope...not worth it. Again, the food wasn't bad, just no flavor. However, what ruined the tour for me was Linda herself details matter.

Fantastic tour! Had enough food that we weren't even hungry for dinner later that day. Knowledgeable guide and delicious food!

This was our 4th or 5th trip to New Orleans, but the first time we have taken a tour. We decided this time that we would let a local provide us with some insight into NOLA food and fortunately, chose this company, Tastebud Tours. It was fantastic! We had the pleasure of tasting some of the best food NOLA has to offer at some of it's most iconic restaurants but the biggest surprise, and ultimately the best part, of the tour was the depth and breadth of historical and cultural information our fantastic guide unfortunately, we have forgotten his name provided us along the way and at each stop. HIs story-telling skills, along with his extensive knowledge, made for a most entertaining and educational not to mention delicious time. We would highly recommend this tour.

Our guide was fantastic. We learned a lot about New Orleans history and the history behind the foods on the tour. By the last stop, we were definitely full. There were no tourist traps did not feel as though the guide received kickbacks. Restaurants were frequently visited by the guide and they all knew him by name and were very nice. I only wish we had also gotten to try a few other foods like jambalaya and gumbo.

Wonderful tour! Richard not only made sure we had some of NOLA's tastiest dishes, but gave some of the most interesting history of each dish. This is by far a must do tour while you are visiting New Orleans. Thank you Richard!!!
