Mark the tour guide was fantastic,
From start to finish he kept the whole group engaged with the history of the city, must visit places for the food and beer connouiseur and of course the chocolate. We had three children on the tour aged 7, 9 and 15 and they loved it from start to finish. The only disappointing aspect was that we did not book onto the other tours such as Marks food and wine tour. Marks tours are a must do in Brussels!
At first the tour guide seemed uninterested but he quickly warmed up. Bruges and Ghent are must see destinations in Belgium. The optional canal tour provided a different perspective but you wouldn't miss much if you didn't do it. The restaurant recommended for lunch was overpriced and if you're kids like a real hamburger don't order it as it is just a hamburger pattie and fries. If it's raining and you're looking for somewhere good to have a drink and food whilst waiting for the bus in Ghent then the Ibis is a great location close to the collection point.
The tour guide Edgar was fantastic,
The windmills are beautiful and Bart at the Clog Factory is highly entertaining. The clogs are very comfortable so make sure you buy a pair! Volendam was really nice and the guides' recommended lunch spot was definitely great value and good food. The cheese "factory" was a little disappointing but you get a quick overview of the process. There are equally as good places in the back alleys of Amsterdam. In Voldenam I'd recommend venturing past the meeting point and going to the other shops as there is more range and value than on the Main Street.
