We really enjoyed this tour - our guide was great and very knowledgable. We visited during high season and as you can imagine every walk way was packed to the brim with tourists, our guide ensured that we avoided the large crowds and kept us in the shade. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone who wants a quick and concise tour around Venice.
This tour was absolutely shocking. Our guide was, for a better word, rubbish. The tour was in English and Spanish, which I would not recommend as the tour does not feel very personalised and with such a large group causes a lot of confusion. The tour guide was extremely repetitive and seemed to have very very little knowledge of Milan. We often had comments such as "And if you look to the left, you will see an old building"... as you can imagine that was very frustrating when you were not given any other information or background. We travelled by coach for part of the tour and the guide would point to a landmark on the right, but would yell into the microphone "This landmark on your LEFT was built in...". This obviously mean't we missed the opportunity to have a look at anything while on the coach.
All in all it was a pretty shambolic experience and I would not recommend you go on this tour. I'd read the rave reviews before I set off and that was the only reason I'd booked onto this tour. Overall, a waste of time and money.
This was absolutely brilliant and a lot of fun. Our tour guide and lead driver was very lovely and knowledgable about the local area. I was really pleased as we spent a good deal of time driving on the Vespas and enjoying the weather. I would point out that there are not many stops and you do have to enjoy the scenery while driving. For me, this was about driving a Vespa and taking in the Tuscan landscapes. If you are looking for an in depth tour of the area, this one is probably not for you.
We stopped at a beautiful church which sat on a hill overlooking Florence, the views were by far the best I'd seen on my trip and the meal afterwards was delicious. I'd opted for the vegetarian option, which I really enjoyed. I think this is a great tour to do to escape the centre of town and really take in Tuscany.
I enjoyed this tour and appreciated the fact that it covered all of the main things you would need to see when visiting the Vatican for the first time. I was travelling during peak time at the beginning of August and I truly would not recommend you visit during this time, for most of the tour I could hardly see the floor. The tour was great and our guide was witty and gave lots of background information. I'd definitely recommend doing this tour, but I think it would be more beneficial to do it in the quieter months, where you can really take everything in at a slower pace.
My favourite tour by far... a bit pricey but worth every penny. This really felt like a personalised tour, where you were getting lots of priority access that other tourists were not. The underground chambers were quite phenomenal and a great add-on to the tour. When visiting the main area floor and the 3rd tier, we were the only tour group in our area and this was fantastic, as you could really appreciate your surroundings and hear the tour guide clearly. The Roman Forum was equally good and our guide, Emma was very knowledgable and patient as we trooped around in the heat.
I would highly recommend this tour and the extra money is really worth it, especially if you are travelling during the summer and want to avoid the masses of tourists that you will bump into on most of the other tours.
