Encontrado no emaranhado de ruas entre a Ponte Carlos e a Praça Venceslau na espetacular Staré Město (Cidade Velha) de Praga, o Museu da Maçã fica perfeitamente dentro da Galeria de Arte Pop em uma casa reformada do século XII. O museu foi inaugurado em dezembro de 2015 e é considerado a 'maior coleção privada de produtos da Apple no mundo'. As exibições nesta homenagem a todas as coisas da Apple incluem mais de 470 produtos originais da Apple e também destacam a história de fundo dos lendários fundadores da empresa, Steve Jobs, que morreu em 2011, e seu companheiro visionário, Steve Wozniak.

The basics

Found in the tangle of streets between Charles Bridge and Wenceslas Square in Prague’s Staré Město (Old Town), the museum opened in December 2015 and is a mecca for techies and Apple aficionados. If visiting on a Friday or weekend, or traveling with a group, you can purchase discounted passes to skip the line and save money on tickets.

From the curiously toy-like Apple Mac from 1984 through the multi-colored iPods of the early 21st century to the MacBooks introduced 2012, the development of one of the world’s biggest brands is laid out in sleek displays guaranteed to appeal to kids and adults alike. Exhibits from Steve Jobs’ life include his college yearbooks, sneakers, and his distinctive black turtleneck sweaters.

The Apple Museum is located at Husova n. 21, about a five-minute walk from the Staré Město (Old Town) and just steps from the astronomical clock and Church of Our Lady before Týn. The nearest metro stop is Staroměstská on line A.

When to get there

The museum is most crowded on the weekend, so be sure to purchase a skip-the-line pass if visiting from Friday to Sunday. During the week, pop in during the quieter morning hours to admire iconic Apple products at your leisure.
