O FireRock Lounge, localizado no Whistler Westin Resort, usa todos os tipos de móveis inesperados, como nogueiras, pedras de rio e troncos brutos para criar uma atmosfera íntima bem na base do maior resort de esqui da América do Norte. E assim como o nome sugere, há uma enorme lareira de pedra bem no centro do restaurante.
Quer se trate de sliders de carne kobe ou um prato de charcutaria e queijo, as opções do menu trazem a atmosfera íntima do lounge diretamente para a mesa; mais da metade dos itens alimentares são recomendados para compartilhar. Os itens tradicionais do menu, como hambúrgueres, recebem um toque gourmet, com opções como a costa oeste, hambúrguer de salmão Coho pescado em linha e o mais inesperado hambúrguer coreano com molho barbecue.
Mesmo com seu foco na criação de uma atmosfera aconchegante, o FireRock Lounge não ignora o fã de esportes que está visitando. As telas de TV ao redor do bar mostram de tudo, desde os últimos acontecimentos no gelo da NHL (afinal de contas, no Canadá) até os X-Games da ESPN.
FireRock Lounge offers a range of dining options, from bar snacks to lunch and dinner meals. Drink choices are plentiful too and include local BC craft beers, Scotch whiskies, wine, and a cocktail list that makes use of seasonal ingredients. Some dining and food tours of Whistler include a stop at FireRock Lounge, during which participants can taste specially selected dishes. The venue also hosts occasional events, including live music performances and themed parties.
Find the FireRock Lounge in the Westin Resort and Spa at the base of Whistler Mountain, just a short stroll from the Whistler Gondola. Walking from the Village Stroll takes just 5-10 minutes.
The FireRock Lounge is open daily from late morning until after midnight. In winter, things pick up in late afternoon and early evening as skiers and snowboarders come off the mountain and into the lounge.
FireRock Lounge is situated near the Village Olympic Station, the lower station of the Whistler Village Gondola—one of the most heavily-used cable cars in the resort. Climb aboard and ride up to Roundhouse Station. Once there, board the Peak 2 Peak Gondola, which spans the valley between Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains and offers bird’s-eye views of surrounding peaks and glaciers.
