Clara our guide was very good, knowledgeable and funny. She took us to 2 wineries located in beautiful locations, the best is that they were small wineries not the super huge famous ones. One of them is an organinc winery with a long history and a castle, we tasted wines and had tapas then to the second one and we drove thru the Monserrat Mountains so beautiful. On the second winery we tasted Cava, very good too. It was a great tour and the best way to spend an afternoon.
The tour was extremely enjoyable. It was within a reasonable travelling time from the city so not too much time was spent travelling to and from, the buses were comfortable, and the the Cava and wine tastings and tapas lunch were great. The tour guide, Albert, made the tour. He was personable, friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the City of Barcelona, Penedes and Pla de Bages. . His enthusiasm for the Cava and wine regions rubbed off on us taking the tour.
Great, cozzy due to the number of people in the tour... only 7 people, if there was more, it would have been too many.
Great tour guide as he was very knowledgeable in both general history and the wine and cava making history as well.
This tour and the guide were great. Clara was so knowledgeable and so pleasant. 5 stars to her. The bus driver also. The Cava winery was interesting and the winery itself was very pretty. Lunch is in the family home and very well done. The owners are very accommodating. We really enjoyed this tour. If you are a wine person and have been to wineries in the states it is a little different. Wine tours are new to Spain. But it was a fun day.
7 hours and only 2 wineries? too much talking and standing around.....They NEED to add 1 or 2 more wineries on this tour for it to be worth the money. you only taste 6 wines.
The guide, of course, was fantastic, but for 100 US I expected more wine, some chatting about the history of the winery. BUT this tour felt like we were just standing around listening to TOO much information. I mean...We are there to try Spanish wines!!!
You have 1 small taste of Cava at the first winery and then they serve tapas.... Poor quality. DEAR STAFF, please change your Tapas place!!! Everyone I talked to on the tour said they would rather have the Tapas later...at the second winery.
everyone on the tour wasn't very hungry at the first stop and would rather taste all the wines first, then Tapas.
PLEASE ADD 1 more winery on this tour. I was very disappointed, and I know 4 others on the tour that weren't pleased either. I don't know if they will write a review.
