Budapest is a truly beautiful city and there's no better way to see it than from the water. This was a wonderful night out with fantastic food, great music, attentive staff, and off coarse Budapest in all her lamp-lit glory.
The food was excellent as were the views. We thought the boat would go out for half of the time and then come back to the dock, but instead it did hour-long circles in the same area. Regardless, we had a wonderful time!
Not very pleasant. The upper deck where the Piano Battle Show and Dinner was held was too small for the loud music. Our Vegetable Soup was cold when we were eventually served it and when our main course of fish was served, it was cold too. We sent it back and it was returned on heated plates but the fish was still cold. The views were lovely but I would not recommend this cruise as the food and service did not reflect the price that was paid for it.
Food and service very good. Views were beautiful. Pianists were very good too but felt the woman's part of the show was a let down and a bit cabaret-ish, didn't feel she was necessary. She did sing a few songs and wasn't bad.
The trip does go up and down the same route a few times and once you've seen it and got your pics the first time it gets a bit repetitive but I suppose the 3hours is to have time for dinner and drinks and listen to the entertainment.
Good experience but would maybe do a shorter version if going again, just felt a bit too long.
The perfect end to our 4 day break we cant rate this enough , very good food , great service, magical music from 2 piano players who where excellent and funny, what a treat when the lady who sat us at our table right by the window started to sing she was also very good. The views going up and down the river where some of the best we have seen OUT STANDING!!!!.
You do have to pay for wine, water, coffee, but all not over priced. You can pick up a good bottle of wine for about 16.
When we go back to Budapest we will book this again.
The views from the boat were excellent. We had two problems on the cruise. Our main course was very disappointing. We had roast duck leg and it was very dry. Duck legs of that size should be slowed cooked and have plenty of moisture. The potato galette was also not very moist. The staff, who were excellent, tried to replace it when they realised we had a problem but by that time we were less than happy with the cruise and if we could have left the boat we would have done so. Our problem was that apart from us there were only ten other guests who were there to enjoy the cruise as family groups. Three tables of two and one of four. The rest of the dining area was occupied by three large tables, roughly thirty six people, who were obviously a corporate group. They had no interest in the piano playing, the young girl who was singing, all of whom were excellent, or the food. They were there for a loud drinking night out and throughout the evening became more and more inebriated and as the space is limited the noise just increased so no one else was considered. My husband and I could not have any conversation nor latterly could we hear the waiting staff. Without being graphic my husband said that the gent's toilets became very uncomfortable to use because of overuse. I realise that it is difficult to choose guests but the size of the ship does not lend itself to the amount of noise made by these large groups. If it had been individual friends or family this would not happen.
