It was really an interesting trip to various places close to Mt. Fuji. The information about the mountain (its history) and info about the activities, where and when the bus will depart again, was really good.It is likely I will do a similar day trip in the near future.
We were lucky to enjoy a full beautiful view of mount Fuji at lake Kawaguchi. The Ninja village was beautiful. The 4-D flight simulation was scary but good. I think the magnificent fifth station was more enjoyable if it was not cloudy. The tour guide was excellent. He gave clear instructions either on the bus or at the location where he wanted to mention. He made sure every could hear when he gave instructions. He spoke English very clear, and was willing to do any thing to assist visitors.
Enjoyed the itinerary sites. Clean bus. Description includes headsets for audio guide...NO audio guide and thus no headsets. Guide on bus did not provide any narration/information...simply gave us poor instructions of what to do upon arrival at destinations and time schedule and was sarcastic when several were a few minutes late back to the bus. We sat in silence for hours between destinations. We did not learn anything.
I loved this tour! Our guide, Catherine, shared a lot of information about Japanese culture and lifestyle. She taught us simple Japanese phrases and greetings on the bus which made the ride to Fuji entertaining. I enjoyed watching Japanese countrysides on the way to the mountain. The mountain itself appeared amazing and the cherry blossoms there were beautiful. The ninja village was calm and quiet, and we got to spend some time there after having lunch I chose to bring my own lunch. The Fuji Airways 4-D was a fun experience. We also visited a tourist village that had a lot of sweet shops and such. It was very crowded there though. The ninja village and the tourist village both offered amazing views of Mt. Fuji.
This was the first tour i went to and I do not regret it. I had such a good time at this tour and our tour guide Llavin hope i spelled it correctly was amazing and really funny. The highlight for me was going to the 5th station from which you had a great view, and also the 4D adventure. If you have children they would really love the Ninja village experience.
Nice trip to Mount Fuji 5th Station and the $ D experience was awesome, but the trip to the lake was a waste of time. There was really nothing too special about the lake!
We missed our other engagement in the evening because of the estimated arrival time. It was to be between 5:45 and 6:10 pm, but the bus did not get back till about 8:30 pm, almost 2 hours later than the scheduled arrival time!!!!!!!
Overall, the tour itself was great and our tour guide Blair was wonderful. However, because our tour just so happen to be during a holiday, traffic was horribly! We started the morning off early with ~9am departure and did not get back until ~10pm that night. We were told our tour group set a record of longest and latest tour. Because of the traffic there were several detours during the trip. This caused the tour itself to feel VERY rushed and not as enjoyable. We purchased the lunch option which was good but I feel like having lunch at the village would've been an even better experience. My parents really enjoyed the 4-D Mt. Fuji experience and of course we had a great view of Mt Fuji itself. Overall, the tour itself was wonderful, but wished we could've enjoyed more time at each stop instead of a 20 minute pit-stop here and there. I would definitely recommend this tour, but make sure it doesn't fall on a holiday. Also, be respectful and considerate of other fellow tour members. Everyone is trying to have a good time, not just you...
