Bishi was our driver who picked us up from our apartment, he was very accommodating from the get go and we felt safe the whole time. The whole experience was amazing, from the dune bashing in the 4x4, sandboarding and photo ops galore! When you get to the main camp the camel riding, henna and falconry are optional. There is a belly dancing show etc while you eat your dinner from the large buffet. Complimentary Arabic coffee and sweet treat on arrival also. We also stopped off at a quad bike area before the dune bashing which was optional and extra cost. Great experience but maybe not suitable for children under 8.
Amazing experience. Our guide Amer was fun and professional. We had a rare opportunity of getting rained in the middle of the desert. This made the driving on the dune difficult but he was really skilled and totally reliable. Sitting down for dance shows and meal at the camp was a nice relaxing way to finish the day. The desert is so beautiful, it's worth a visit even if you are not interested in camel ride or other touristy stuff.
This tour was okay. The tour guide basically didn't talk or add value to the tour, but he was a great driver. It would have been nice for him to let us know when we picked up the last couple that this was who we would be spending the day with, or give us an itinerary/break down of what to expect on the tour that day. We traveled from location to location without description. During the Dune bashing the guide did an excellent job at getting our adrenal pumping. I could tell he truly enjoyed driving through the dunes. Since we were there during Ramadan we expected not to be able to partake in watching the belly dancers, however all entertainment was lacking. The Tanura dance was great, but there was no belly dancing as expected, no fire dance as advertised and no camel rides which my daughter was looking forward to. The camels were being taken away as we arrived well before sunset and did not return. The food however was good with a lot of selections. Overall the lack of entertainment and tour guide involvement made this a sub par tour experience.
