Brian was a great guide and worked to provide information about all the sites. Since some people talk at the same time Brian does it can be annoying. Suggestion, if you want to talk, sit in the back, if you want to hear Brian, sit up front. Loch Lomond was interesting, glad we took the boat ride -- wish it had been sunny but that's Scotland. Interesting countryside an small towns, walking just a couple of blocks we got away from the others and had a great lunch in a local pub.
Stirling Castle was amazing! I just think it was so hard for the people who lived during the times when there was great war and suffering and how they managed to build these huge castles on the top of rock. Loch Lomond was okay, It rained the entire boat ride so I couldn't get any photos. I do believe that if the weather would have been pretty the boat ride would have been more appealing. The rest of the trip was well planned. I felt like we had traveled very far and the entire tour we were very close to Edinburgh. Our guide was funny and made sure that we got the most out of our tour.
If you liked the movie Braveheart from 22 years ago, you would love our driver show talked about it all the time. Matter of fact, He talked all the time...about the facts and info of the area which we appreciated, and which way he was going to turn etc, which sounded like he was talking to himself which was annoying jabber. A lot driving to see just a little. The boat ride on the Loch was boring, not worth the extra money, but nothing else to do there. Sterling Castle was an added expense but awesome. Drove though Glasgow which needed a small stop to shop or investigate.
I can't say enough good things about this trip! I was traveling with my sister and her guide dog and from the moment I booked this right until we were dropped back off, the tour company was so welcoming and accommodating to make sure that my sister and her guide dog enjoyed themselves. I am easy to please but I will admit that I was nervous booking a coach trip with a guide dog. It was our first time doing this so it was a new adventure for both my sister and her guide dog. I didn't want her to miss out on the experience of exploring some of these places outside Edinburgh so I am so thankful the company helped this be so successful. Our driver/guide Graham was so helpful in making sure my sister and her dog were comfortable and that we had easy accessibility at all of our stops. My sister and I enjoyed the audio tour at Stirling Castle and thought it was a good use of our time there. We did have enough time to do the audio tour and explore almost everything. We enjoyed the cruise around Loch Lomond too. Overall we had a great day and the tour company along with our driver made this a really memorable part of our trip.
