We loved this tour! We were picked from our hotel and the driver arrived just a little early to ensure we left on time. After a short trip to Hoi An we met James, who was our tour guide. He was wonderful! James was very attentive, spoke English very well and very helpful! James helped my husband to know what was the best amount for tipping, and while biking on the major road ways would even stop to ensure that my 11 year old and 15 year old kids were safely out of harms way! At the end of the tour, he even arranged with the driver to stop by a local minimart to pick up snacks to take back to the hotel, for a small extra fee. The biking experience gave as a wonderful scenic view of Hoi An as well as a great workout! The cooking class was simple. We were able to chop, make the spring rolls and pancakes and the instructors finished the work while we sat and enjoyed the meal. The boat tour was very relaxing. We enjoyed traveling around the large tours groups and even having a specialized opportunity to get up and throw the fishing net out on our own! The teachers and guides at each location were very pleasant and welcoming. Our children loved the nice foot massage touch at the end of the tour and so did we! It was a full day, but not too long. I cannot recommend this tour enough and especially James!
This was a lovely day on a lovely ship. Unfortunately the beach we went too was a little too rocky, however, with the area being what it was, it was lovely and fresh for a swim. We enjoyed lunch and drinks and met a few wonderful people on the boat. Thank you for a memorable day.
Overall very good half day, lovely guide and the local people we met were very welcoming. Lots of activities within the morning followed by a tasty lunch. Note that no helmets are provided with the bikes which may have been desired given the crazy roads in Hoi An!
We were very disappointed with this tour. Our guide took us to the first stop and ordered shrimp although there were alternatives. We had stressed at the time of booking that my wife's allergy is life threatening. When we explained that my wife was allergic, he said just scrape it off the top. We were then marched to another stop with no explanation as to where we were going, why and the cultural significance of the food. This continued until we requested we return to our hotel. On past food tours, we have been treated as friends, the food and why locals like to eat it explained to us. As a result of this sort of tour, we felt like we had a better understanding of the local people. This was definitely NOT the case this time, we were left feeling unhappy and disappointed.
The tour was great, guide was alright, not very informative. Downside make sure you take money with you as we had to pay for our beers for lunch which we didn't mind but at the end our bikes were picked up and we had to catch a taxi back. The guide was with us so we thought he would be paying as part of the tour, but no we had to pay! Other than that would recommend as we did enjoy it.
nice to try these things but was spoiled by two things the weather which no one could alter and the TET holiday as some of the places the guide usually goes were closed advise watch for TETdates as a lot of things were closed all the time we were there
