Not what I expected at all. Tour guide on the bus was not energetic or welcome questions. Felt as if everything was right out of a pamphlet. Stops were too short and didn’t allow time for picture taking. Expected bus tour to have a jazzy feel and less of a charter bus feel, colors were bland. Definitely disappointed in tour especially with the cost of attraction.
The bus part of the tour was somewhat bland. The tour guide was good (Ryan) but there is only so much you can do with this route. Also, for the graveyard stop - that was too long and the Beignet stop was too short. It would help if the guide announced the stops at the beginning of the tour and that we only had one bathroom stop and that we needed to take advantage of that stop. We had a little girl that did not and her parents insisted they let them off because she had to go to the bathroom,. even though we had just had a bathroom stop. So if the bathroom stop which was the beignet stop could be longer that would help. Also, make sure everyone is on same time,. We had stragglers that delayed us and I think they were from a different time zone and did not understand.
The city tour was a great way to get around New Orleans and get a good introduction / orientation to the city by bus for our time there. As we were there in mid-summer, it was hot, so the Steamboat cruise was a good way to get out of the sun, eat lunch and watch the world go by, while listening to the jazz band play 'It's a Wonderful World'!
Really great tour combination. Tour guide on the bus was full of information, she was a history teacher. Answered questions about the city and sights and this was really enjoyable. Traveled and saw many sights of the city that we may not have been able to see by foot or trolley. The boat was nice, we had great weather, it was a narrated tour going one way, and a sit back relaxing ride back. Recommend to all.
This was an awesome tour! First, we did the bus tour with one of the best tour guides ever, Mike Marino. He was very knowledgeable and funny. Then we went back to the dock go aboard the steamboat Natchez. There was a buffet which I didn't partake of and great jazz music. It was a very relaxing experience
