Our guide, Roger, picked us up early in the morning to avoid the Johannesburg traffic which is quite heavy. So, we had an opportunity for extended touring of the countryside and an opportunity to learn some culture, history, and current development before our tour. The light breakfast at Glen Afric was refreshing and relaxing while overlooking the reserve.. The group of elephants we encountered on our tour consisted of a mom, her daughter, and an adopted daughter. The rumblings of communication from the mother elephant was impressive. Eventually, she let us feed her some twigs, touch her tusks, and feel her trunk. The daughters were much fun allowing everyone to pat them, touch their ears, and they flapped their ear against your hand ! Our guide provided us with a choice for lunch, and we opted for an authentic African experience - Absolutely Delicious !
