Great day! Sage was our tour guide and he was excellent. Very attentive and organized, great local knowledge and a genuinely nice person. We really enjoyed visiting the places on this tour and learnt interesting aspects of Japanese history and culture. Definitely recommend taking this tour.
My family and I booked this tour on our first day in Tokyo in hopes of gettting a general idea of the various places in this great city. Indeed, it met our expectations. Our tour guide was friendly, helpful and funny. Yet he kept very strict to the time. We all learned a lot and seen a lot on this tour. Highly recommended.
Good value well organised tour. A great start to our Tokyo adventure that enabled us to get our bearings and take in the sites all in one go. Our Nepalese guide was very organised, knowledgeable and spoke excellent english. We took the lunch option, Chanko wasn't for us, but it was an experience. Overall an excellent Tokyo tour.
The tour was amazingly wonderful. We saw most of Tokyo in one day. The tour was very organized and the guide was funny and very easy to understand. The bus was very comfortable and the cruise was relaxing.
First time i was disappointed with a viator tour supplier. The bus tour was just a plain bus tour, no info given or explanation as to where we were by the tour assistant as she described her job. Her name is yulia. She was busy selling her wares by asking the passengers ‘upgrade, upgade your skytree tour from 350 meters to 450 meters’ and asking those who only joined the morning tour if they wanted to join the afternoon tour to the skytree and tokyo cruise. We expected a tour guide who will tell us the history of the place we were visiting but only an intermittent taped info is played once she got back to her seat. She told us to just read the laminated tour brochure she distributed at the start of the bus tour. At one time, we asked her to walk slowly so all the passengers can keep up with her fast paced (she was at least 50 meters away from the passengers) that we hardly heard whatever was her instructions where we are going to regroup after 20 minutes for the bus but she replied, ‘i can not slow down because i have to follow the time given by the tour agency, you just watch for the tour flag i am waving.’ With so many people in the temples, we can hardly see her since she is vertically challenged. In fact, several passengers followed other tour groups if we did not see them and shouted at them that they are with the wrong group.
The tokyo cruise was also a letdown. Our fellow passengers were sleeping during the tokyo cruise due to the heat on the boat.
The vegetarian food was yukky. The soup in the hotpot did not boil at all so i can taste the rawness of the vegetables and mushrooms in the soup. I called the attention of the attendant to fix the flame but nothing happened until it was time to go. I only had the 4 small slices of raw tofu and nothing else. Yulia did not bother checking on her passengers if the food was ok before she sat down to take her meal unlike TOKO, the tour guide of your other supplier who pointed to all the passengers the scenic spot on our way to Mt. Fuji. We may not have seen the Mt Fuji due to bad weather but we were never disappointed because she took good care of her passengers until we arrived at the station where we took the shinkansen back to tokyo while she accompanied the others who went back through the bus.
This tour is not recommended for seasoned travellers.
