My only small dislike of this tour was that the Murano visit was inside a glass factory showroom and no actual chance to walk the city streets. However, the glass artwork is stunning even if you don't want to buy any. Burano was awesome. After all the crowds in the heart of Venice the island of Burano was a nice relaxing stroll through a quaint town.
The trip to Murano and Burano was our favorite part of our visit to Venice! The islands are beautiful and being able to see glass pieces made was amazing. My only suggestion would be that the time on Murano be extended. One hour didn't give us a chance to really explore outside of the factory but we took a vaporetto back a few days later and it was well worth the return trip.
We really enjoyed the whole day. The boat rides were smooth and the weather was beautiful. The guide told us about all the history on and off the boat. She was very impressive. The only negative is that it was too short. We wish we could have stayed an hour longer on each place
We enjoyed hearing some of the history around Venice, Murano and Burano. We could have easily spent a few hours at both Murano and Burano instead of 60-90 minutes they gave us. The glass blowing demonstration was somewhat interesting but I would give it a miss and head out to Murano straight away.
We left the glass factory immediately after the demonstration so we could at least see Murano. Well worth it. If you don't have a good sense of direction don't leave or you'll miss the ferry.
Burano was a delight and a photographer's heaven. We wandered the back streets to avoid the touristy areas.
Simply transportation...... constant stream of languages going by from guide was just noisy. Guide and boat captains seemed to get into a fight on the way back.... Would have liked more time in Murano.
